Have you ever wondered about where to mine or not? Well, here is your solution. Keep reading to find out.
As most people know, diamond is found at Level 16 and under. But one common mistake people do is dig looking for valuables at that area. If you're looking for diamonds, okay, but for other things like gold, iron, and redstone, you have to look a bit higher. Here is a simple chart* to explain this:
You know you can find iron higher than that right?
Coal you could almost find anywhere, but iron you actually can find below water level... It is slimes that are 40 and below. I don't know if it was changed on the pc version but the xbox the iron is there. I would say at least up to 50-55... Somewhere in there. It does get less higher than that, or so it appears...
Although this is in the wrong section for this... Maybe discussion would be a better place...

Curse PremiumAs most people know, diamond is found at Level 16 and under. But one common mistake people do is dig looking for valuables at that area. If you're looking for diamonds, okay, but for other things like gold, iron, and redstone, you have to look a bit higher. Here is a simple chart* to explain this:
Coal: Commonly found anywhere
Iron: Level 5-40
Redstone: Level 14 & Below
Gold: Level 2-29
Lapis-Lazuli: Level 13 to 16
Diamond: Level 16 & Below
*How to read the chart: Levels start from bedrock. You count up to get to higher numbers. I'll take Iron as an example:
Iron: Level 5-40: This means that you have to go five levels up from bedrock to start the iron layer and forty to end it.
