As many of you may or may not know but the chickens have no "special" thing they can do. They can lay eggs but that is about it. The chicken and the player have no special bond like the other animals do.
You can milk a cow
Sheer a sheep
Tame a wolf
Ride a pig

But what can you do to a chicken?

This is a question I have been unable to come up with, and so I was hoping the fellow minecrafters could help give our chickens the attention they need.

Chickens are actually special and without them we cannot make cakes wit their eggs,

What about the poor squid then?
Can't do anything to those...nor would it matter.

The chickens are fine as is.
Plucking would be...too weird and they are "special" being the only passive mob to not take fall damage.

Get milk with cows
Get eggs from chickens...
Seems equally as important to me...

But you have to use a bucket to get milk, chickens lay then randomly. You have to interact with a cow... That was my point with the thread. You interact with the other mobs but chickens and squids

I think the chickens are fine as they are.
And agree with what was said above with them taking no fall damage making them "special"

Yes the squids (or should i say we squids) should be more special

I think there is already a special relationship there. Chicken/ducks are the only animal the player can spawn without breeding them... in survival mode. In my 404 challenge, I found a single chicken underground... and by collecting the eggs from that single chicken/duck and throwing them, I was able to develop a chicken/duck farm.
