I'm sure that there are many threads with this idea, but I to believe there should be one. I know the PC has jade and item trading with villagers but wouldn't it be neat if we could use: Gold, Silver, and they can make a new ore copper. This could make gold a rarer thing to find but gold doesn't have many uses in the first place, and it sucks using it as a sword or a pick ax. I know most of you are probably going to reject and think I'm just spouting some WoW nonsense and its true to much time and effort would need to go into the game to create a money system but this is just a suggestion thread right... Also it seems like when I play the P.C. I can never find Jade ore, either I'm blind or I just get bad servers =/
Also copper ore could be used for pipes or to cover red stone dust so if you want two lines of dust near each other but don't want them to touch, and copper has many other attributes to real life items that can be used in the game.
Now I don't want you to make a huge paragraph saying I'm an idiot or the idea is retarded but I would like to hear others opinions on this idea.
Maybe it would stop me from always killing my villagers =p
accidents happen like lava down the front door, or spawning creepers in there houses... (accidents)
Money system? The emerald system sounds sufficient (whenever it'll come to 360).
I do, however, share an interest with new ores (ex. copper, bronze, silver, etc.). Can be used for decorative blocks, or used to make vases (another wish). We need some new metallic blocks.
I like to use gold as you've got three different forms (nuggets, ingots and blocks (all switchable in crafting benches)) and it increases in sets of nine.
Not to mention I find less gold than diamonds.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
I think currency is useless in this game unless there were items that could only be purchased.
It's all free trade.
Me:Hey ill trade you 100 blocks of wood for 50 sandstone? Friend:Deal
... But what if that player didn't want your wood but instead wanted something you didn't have?
He could get money for the wood and then go buy some chicken... Because everybody likes chicken.

So instead of giving away the wood to the one that bought it, he goes directly and trades the wood for the chicken,
So instead of giving away the wood to the one that bought it, he goes directly and trades the wood for the chicken,
easy trade, good trade.
But the other guy doesn't want wood?
He wants to make a profit in gold nuggets.
So he can feed his family with bread and milk. Buy a woollen rug. Iron sword for home protection.
It's more for RPG use than practical use but when you need alot of different things its better to be using one item to carry around.
