I'm a person who likes to stick to a world and build huge city's and houses. However, when a new update is released, I have to create a new world to get the new features. This makes me think if all my work is going to be reset, what's the point of playing? Soon when jungles are released, I'll need to start a new world. And again when emeralds come around.
I've thought of a few solutions, if 4j could take them into consideration.
Never ending worlds. The world continues to generate, and if you want to get a cat, and your world was created before they were added, just walk out until you see one.
Next, reserve blocks. Certain blocks that will behave as stone. When later updates come out, 4j can change these blocks to other materials, such as emeralds.
I kinda agree with you, but Bloodyphoenix is right, we will never get infinite worlds. If you want that, buy a computer or Xbox one.
Agreed.I wish we had infinite worlds, however I also am kind of happy we don't.Not having infinite worlds makes hunger games and survival games really easy.
Also,I like having the entire world mapped with one map.
Also people have stated I don't know how many times that u can't have infinite worlds.
Xbox could easily have infinite worlds. Xbox could easily play the PC version and a exact copy of it in C++ but that doesn't happen because Microsoft limits the size files.

I was playing the demo on my brothers laptop which is atleast twice the power of Xbox 360 and it was lagging bricks and had extra small view distance.
My new PC can run Arma 3 on ultra on singleplayer.
Once on multiplayer it can lag on big servers.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
Xbox one is not going to have infinite worlds either. XBOX isn't designed for games like Minecraft, and together with Microsoft limiting file sizes, it's just not gonna happen.
I like the idea if them being large but not Infinate.
