So far we have rain, thunderstorms, and snow. I love weather, and I think we should have different kinds of weather. There should be a new object called "Severe Weather Detector" or something, with the colors red, blue, yellow, and green. Each color represents a different kind of bad weather.
Tornadoes: Come when thunderstorms are happening. A huge funnel that sweeps anywhere through the terrain, and it could go right through your creations. It damages the player severely, so you need to take cover. Color on the Detector is Yellow
Tsunami: Only occurs when you're near an ocean. Big wave that comes down and wipes out anything in its path. Also does damage to the player. Cannot take down any type of stone, but can take down wood. Color on the Detector is Blue
Blizzard: Yes, we already have snow, but its light, peaceful snow. Blizzards are strong downpours of snow around tundra, high in mountains. They only occur where a place is covered with snow, and can sometimes be dangerous. Color on the Detector is Green
Wildfire: Occurs in forests with an abundance of trees, and a scarce amount of water. Droughts happen, which remove a lot of water in the area, which allows the place to rarely catch fire. Fire spreads easily, so if you see a wildfire, run. If it's close to your buildings, better work on putting that thing out from the source. Color on the Detector is Red
We already got wildfires created by other players or lava lakes at the start of the game.
I was thinking tsunamis could have a big wake and the raise the water level a couple blocks from behind it for a couple days.
Tornados are a plausible idea but I wouldn't want the to grief too much.
And blizzards would be great in snow.
Maybe make a new snow block the depth of soulsand that slows you down (not nearly as much as soul sand) and also increases your hunger rate.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
Do you have any idea how bad something like a Tornado or Tsunami would make the game lag?
The game already has trouble keeping up with something like TNT which rapidly removes blocks. Imagine how bad it would be if something like a Tornado tried to rapidly change the environment. I know there is a mod on the PC that creates tornadoes and if your PC isn't really good, it will make your game lag and crash because of the rapid removal and placement of blocks caused by it.
Tornadoes: No. I play in a community server. If one were to generate in the middle of town, months of work would be gone in minutes.
Tsunamis: No. If the water were to rise X blocks out from the shore, this would end up ruining a lot of people's farms and homes, as well as dousing a pile of torches in nearby caves.
Blizzards: Maybe. It may lag up online servers, though.
Wildfires: No. Lava lakes and people already torch enough stuff. And people do enjoy living in forests. I personally wouldn't want to return to see my house in cinders....
Seeing as how it rains practically every other day in minecraft, I would have to say no. This to me would just add more annoyances that are already in game...><

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
i would lik more weather... but not as destructive as ur ideas. i personally think it would be cool to have fog above ground like in the morning.
Now that is a sensible idea...:D I like that one. As I am myself not too fond of destructive wheather, since we have enough destruction from tnt, creepers, enderman, and griefers(rare)...
This would be like the clouds coming down during the morning... Although I could truly only see that happening in the lush or vegetation filled biomes. Deserts it really wouldn't make much sense, but would still be interesting to have even there but would look like a morning wall of sandy fog... Well it is an idea...><

I'll pass. Cool for PC mods, irritating for the 360.
Stay fluffy~
