We should be able to have an update on the same day as the computer so we are never behind.Like where you dont have to spend time working on one thing and then update it and then do the same thing on the xbox.yal should make it where yall do it once and the platforms update together.
Though that would proably be alot harder but at least you spend less time doing the same thing for the other platform too.
For starters PC and xbox are being developed by different companies. Sure Mojang is the original one for PC, and 4J is xbox translating & adding upon what they deem will function. They are two separate games that stem from the same root. PC has more freedom than xbox, as xbox could not truly run smoothly with everything that the pc has. well that is my opinion.
This is not the mention that both are two different programming languages too. Also this has been suggested before, and I am sure it will more likely not happen. Not on the xbox 360. That is like asking twins to stay exactly the same as each other, which in the long run they are actually different on the inside. They don't share the same mind after all. I won't go much into why this isn't as I just don't see it likely, and really don't want it to be exactly like the pc. PC has a different play style than the xbox, and it has nothing to do with the controls for me. It is just the way I go about things in each edition. Loving each equally...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
well when Xbox one comes out every multiplayer game will have dedicated servers. Xbox 360 runs on about 15k servers. Xbox one has over 500k. And i'm sure they will bring the top selling arcade game to Xbox one =p Maybe having more servers and since Xbox one will be linked with Windows then to the hardware maybe we will see updates a little faster. However, I feel that Xbox will always be behind PC in updates no matter the circumstances =[
For one, both games are programmed in different languages (Java VS C++).
For two, our version is splitting from the PC's version at 1.2.3 (I believe the next update).
For three, if they were, it'd take a lot longer for the next update to come out due to the massive amount of things that would be added.
For four, I'd rather not have certain PC things (no need for detail here).
For five, I need to stop talking like this.
I know they are two totally different platforms but what i mean and not to be mistaken like they make it where the computer is not updated until xbox is caught up and they work on both platforms at the same time like they have half of the workers who make the updates working on xbox and the other half on the computer so they dont have to work on one platform finish it then start from scratch and work on the other update for the other platform. But i know this would take like a few days longer.but still.

I'm guessing you think Mojang does both versions. That is a wrong assumption. Two totally different companies develop the two versions of Minecraft we're talking about. Mojang creates the PC version while 4J Studios works on the Xbox 360 edition. So while the PC is doing their own thing, the developers at 4J Studios are working to create the Xbox 360 edition, which is in a totally different code. There is no possible wayto make both versions at the same time. Like others have said, if you want PC version updates, then the only way you'll get that is on the PC.

Xbox Live on the Xbox One will have 300,000 servers.
The Xbox One won't be linked with Windows. It has a version of windows running as one of it's 3 operating systems inside of it. The hardware has nothing to do with seeing updates faster. That is Microsoft's fault. They have a release process and a certain way of doing updates that must be followed.
Also, the Xbox 360 Edition will always be behind the PC version because it isn't the PC version. It is its own game and will soon be receiving updates that the PC doesn't have. 4J and Mojang never meant for the Xbox 360 Edition to the PC version. If you want the PC version, go buy it because this one isn't meant to be the same.

I don't follow why you're just doing the same thing over again on both platforms anyway. As others have said, the two games are written in different programming languages. So far, Mojang comes up with the ideas and writes them into the PC version. In order for the Xbox edition to be updated at the same time as the PC version, Mojang would have to release their ideas to 4J Studios to be written into the Xbox version before they have written them into the PC version. Then, with the Xbox version, there is the additional complication of having to have Microsoft certify the Xbox updates before they are released. I just don't see Mojang holding back the release of their updates on the PC to wait for the Xbox version updates to get written by 4J and then certified by Microsoft... and I doubt the PC users of the game would like having their updates delayed so that the Xbox can enjoy a simultaneous release of them. Therefore, if the Xbox version is to just emulate the PC version, it means that there updates will always be at least a little behind the PC ones.
However, the good news is that 4J have stated that they would like to take the Xbox in its own direction. This means that we should be getting updates that are not mimics of PC updates but rather that reflect 4J's own ideas for the game. The two games, therefore, should become increasingly different from each other as time goes on... and you won't find yourself merely repeating things from one version to the other.

Stay fluffy~
But nah It's not possible and as we get closer to 1.2.3 I'm more curious as to what we might be getting as exclusives.
