I suggest that activating sprinting is easier than it currently is. Double tapping forward was awkward on a keyboard, and even more so using a controller. I think that changing the way that sprinting is activated to pushing down on the left control stick would make adjusting to the game's controls much easier, plus get rid of that awkward pause between the transition from walking to running. Because this is often the way that sprinting is activated in Xbox games, people would be more adjusted to this method. The 3rd person key could be moved to the D-Pad as it is not used quite as often, and does not require constant adjusting.
Tl;DR: Change the way we activate sprint to pressing down on the left control stick, and move 3rd person to the D-pad.
I agree with you fully.
I'm a common FPS player and I found this double tap forward thing very clunky.
I find trying to vault in Arma 2 smoother actually.
POV would be better on Dpad aswell because you can go up or down in selection.
Full control mapping would be a nice option.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
I wouldn't mind this either. Although might be good to have separate sections in the mapping. Like Inventory, Normal play, creative, crafting, etc... Just to give a rough idea on what I mean by sections.
I see this all the time in some of the other open ended games or even some MMOs. When it is a defferent designated set based upon what you are doing. or just a modified of the base set (normal play).
It could be tabbed like how they do many of the menus in game already, so you could easily figure out the majority of things and what you want each button to do.
That is my added take on it.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
