While many of you know, the xbox is a couple (very many) updates away from the computer. While this may not be a problem for many of you, some people do not have a computer that can run minecraft very fast.
So a fall back is the xbox. And while the xbox is releasing a new gen console, it still seems reasonable to update it. Seeing as the console is just another computer for online gaming, just specialized a bit differently.
I'm not very active on forums as it is. My computer itself is slow, and cannot handle the mass of lag that minecraft causes when I play on my computer. I have bought minecraft on both the computer, and xbox. I do enjoy talking to friends on the console, and its easy to use. However, even if I wanted to just play on the computer, its just a lot slower than it would be on my xbox.
Here are the stats for an average 360. I did get this from wiki so bear with me.
An xbox can contain anywhere from 4-200+ gigs of memory. The xbox as we know, also does not use very much memory with game saves and such unless downloading a whole entire game, or battle field 3 update.

Anyways, the point I'm trying to prove is that the xbox is really similar to the computer with some obvious discrepancies. While it may be a game for the computer, you can still tell the xbox is capable of usb ports. You could use those ports for a keyboard detector when playing minecraft, along with a mouse.
I'm not aware of how much work that would take, so if it is extensive, by all means then just completely forgo this idea. I just am entirely teased myself by how much the computer has, but I'm not able to partake of because of the extreme stress minecraft causes on my computer. Yes this is a suggestion coming from a complaint I have had.
If you'd like statistics of my computer to further my point of anything by all means ask, I'm not sure what I should put up here to put more facts into it though, so for what I have please take into consideration.
You don't need to post the entire specs of your Xbox and computer, it's simply not needed.
The reason Xbox is less laggy is because minecraft is coded differently. On PCs, it is coded in Java. On Xboxes, it is coded in C++. Java is simply not a very good gaming language.
I think nearly every Xbox player out there would want this, for any game. But updating things for Xbox isn't as quick as just updating to a PC via internet on the fly.

Hey, you there. Yes, you! Are you thinking about posting a suggestion on the forums anytime soon? If so, please read this before doing so.
I'm not sure what exactly you are suggesting. Your title says bring the xbox version up to date with the PC which is just never going to happen.
The reason it won't is because Microsoft charges a LOT of money to add a patch to a game. So if the Xbox was updated regularly with the PC it would cost them thousands of dollars per update. Also, you need to take into account that they are coded in different languages, so implementing horses on PC is going to be hugely different from doing it on Xbox. Well not that different but so much that you can't even get close to just copy-pasting it. Finally, you need to pass certification with Microsoft to put out an update and they are downright grueling about it (I worked as a QA tester for Activision last year, am returning again this year).
On PC you can update as much as you want and for free (not counting the bandwidth used for people updating), you don't need to pass certification checks, and you stick with one language. Plus the 360 version is done by an entire separate studio, so that requires a lot more communication than just the PC version.
But in your thread it talks about keyboard and mouse support on 360 which is simple and much more cost effective. So I'm confused on exactly what you want.
Also, the reason it runs worse on a computer of comparable specs is because the Xbox is running 2 things. It runs the game and the 360 dashboard. On a PC you run the desktop, any open programs, about 20+ processes running in the background, and the game.

I'll take into consideration the multitude of dilemmas you've appointed, and they seem pretty depressing for xbox players. But all completely reasonable. However I always do make sure whenever I play minecraft on my computer I restart the computer and make sure nothing else is running haha. Just for that matter of fact.
Sorry for any misunderstandings. Just hoping to get a reason why the xbox couldn't be up to date with the computer.
However I wouldn't mind seeing the keyboard or mouse implemented either, it's a lot easier using these tools than a hand held controller.
