So Im building a PvP map that is in Berlin Germany. After looking at multiple pictures of Berlin in the 40s and playing a game paying attention to some exact detail I set out to make a map. One thing hit me first we only have 1 shade of brick.Big problem. The pictures had up to three basic shades; dark brick, light brick, and orange brick. So I came up with the thought " You could add a dye to brick to make coloured brick. This would be very helpful in building any citt, not just ones of the past. Look around you youd be suprised about all the bricks in cities. Anyways, my trenches and crater holes came across another roadblock, they are either too shallow at one block deep, or too deep at two blocks deepz a solution, grass slabs, four grass = four slabs. Perfect for anything trench warfare related. Also it would be helpful to make a "stone slab block" confusing name, I know, but I am using stone slabs as marble for some of the more glorious buildings on my map, and its a pain making a floor of 8 stone slabs in from of this building.
What are some blocks, besides coloured sand you would propose?
I actually have been wanting a Brick variety, too.
And as for the Grass slabs, 3 in a line for 6, just like the other slabs.
And by the Stone Slab Block, do you mean the glitched on that looks like a seamless double slab?
Notch has added dirt slabs back in the early days of Minecraft (I think it was during indev). But, I would really like grass slabs a lot! The others you suggested I wouldn't mind (Don't take that in a bad way).
the idea of glass slabs would be great for glass related structures, the briks I would have to see personally before I say, but I could see them being really cool looking if done right.
