I find digging n building fun for a little while. However, setting up grand structures with no one to see and scowering the vast world for resourses or fighting the same trickling mobs alone quickly becomes a monotinous boring waste of time. So I strongly believe more focus be directed towards MP. Even if my experience with it short of a few good people willing to share/trade resources mostly has been being attemptingly trolled, robbed, kill looted, and evicted by squatters.
The theory is to improve MP by implementing a few servers to store shared saves.
Each player recieves (say 3) "Community Saves."
Community Saves contain a whitelist and blacklist maintained by the Community Creator/Moderator.
When the last active player leaves the running play server the world is saved on the community save server.
When the next player(whitelisted community member) signs in they can load the world from their community save (off the community server).
Now im no tech expert, but wouldnt this in essence give you 24/7 servers without haveing downsides of masses of open access servers running all the time.
Of coarse for the sake of space their could be a mandatory sign in (once every 30-60 days by Moderator/Members) attatched or the community save is auto deleted.
Side Note: "Friends Only" and "Open to All" options added vs "Friends and Friends Friends" would be helpful.
