C418 did an amazing job with the new music that was provided for The End and Nether. Though it's a shame that currently, as far as I know, there is no way to listen to the music in game while in the Overworld. Why not add these tracks to some newly added records for the jukebox?
Now, just to keep it consistent with the other records, my suggestion would be to have these records introduced in ways similar, and challenging, to how records are entered into the game currently.
For the nether track: Record is dropped from a Ghast once killed with a sword (or anything that's not a bow and arrow).
For the End track: N/A
This thread is open to more suggestions. If you have any better ideas than the one that took me five minutes to come up with, please post it! Thanks.
That is a very good idea, but you could make the End track available once you kill the Enderdragon! Also, for the Nether track, the Ghast should have a low chance of dropping the music disc.
4j could bring forward the chests being in Nether Fortresses from 1.6 (snapshot) and have the Nether music disc appear in there. As for the End music disc, that could be a rare drop from Endermen, or maybe have it drop 100% if they're killed in a certain way (like creepers killed by skeleton arrows)

I'm all for finding a disc in a nether fortress chest, however I would still like to see an alternative way of collecting the disc because a nether reset would need to be used just to generate the chests for those who have already fully explored their nether.
Oh, please, don't make me have to cover my Nether ocean with stone a third time. ._.
I like the idea of Ghasts dropping it, but the chances would need to be slim (say the 2.5% like the PC's rare drops?).
If not, I could easily have 10 within 5 minutes (massive platform over lava with a low ceiling).
As for the End disc, I think possibly killing an Enderman using water would have a small chance of dropping the Disc.
That right there would be quite the tricky feat.
New idea: Zombie Pigmen drop Nether disc upon death from a redirected fire charge from a ghast. Sounds pretty challenging to me.
That's a good one. Or maybe with just a ghast fire charge in general (i.e. stand on the opposite side of a zombie pigman and let the ghast attempt to blow you up but it'll hit the ZP instead).
Maybe the End disc could be dropped when an Enderman is killed with Ender Acid (and a probability of it, like 5-10%).
Edit: Sweet, this is my 314th post! Pi all the way.
I agree. I loved the new Nether music! It's so good!
I think it would be a good idea to have an option to have the Nether song on while you are in the whole overworld.
If made in disc, I'd suggest a chest on the Nether Fortress which contains a few discs with some potions and food.
And as for the End one I'd suggest the End chest with the disc or maybe having a chest inside the Obsidian towers.

If you're playing on creative you could place an Ice Block on top and a torch next to it in order to have it melted and converted to water which would, of course, turn your lava into obsidian
Not sure if you can mine Ice blocks on survival though
