Let's say you want to build your house on top of the floating island, but you have no way to get there. You could go up there, make a dispenser with water bucket, and make an arrow target the method your charge gets to the dispenser. If there is an odd number of arrows stuck in the target, then the target will give off a charge. If there is an even number, the target will stop the charge. So you shoot the target once, wait for the elevator, then shoot it again, and then go up the elevator, when you get to the top, push the button so the dispenser will suck up the water.

Yeah, Ender Pearls are so much faster, assuming your world has one and you can aim to some extent.
Also, just go grab the arrow out of the eventually-to-be-changed Wooden Button....
I use ender pearls, but they are unreliable unless you are using a looting sword. You will also keep missing the button. You have an entire block to shoot at with the targets. Invalid argument.

You've never seen a fully-functioning Enderman farm's yield.

Um, if you are playing on hard, even a single enderman can overwhelm you even with a sharpness sword. Whenever they hit me three times while parrying, they basically should start saying "Run forest, run!" because that is all I can do.

In an enderman´s farm the cant even hit you ONCE and you can get all the pearls and xp
I have an enderfarm. I don't want to go to the end every time I want ender pearls. Also, the ender pearls take up more inventory space than arrows. Also, I don't think one ender pearl can get up multiple people. You are missing the main point. This would not just be useful for this but a lot of things too.
