i think there should be a mode where the world doesnt get horrible when creepers explode. im sure a bunch of you guys have heard of adventure mode in PC. all im asking is to have that so when creepers blow up there will be no holes. even if its just a host option. i built the nuketown zombies map but it was destroyed by a creeper so i had to exit out and mess up the game. its a playable map. the only problem is creepers can spawn in. another thing is in our adveture maps we want things where creepers spawn in. but we cant have that because if creepers come in then the map will be destroyed. like i was gonna play my nuketown zombies map for the first time but the creeper blew up the map and i had to exit out. everyone was disappointed. that i had to exit out because they werent able to make it to a part of the map. so please make a option where explosions from creepers dont make holes i will include a poll so that way 4J can see how many people want this
EDIT: yes i know we could use obsidian but do you really want to make everything out of obsidian. that would be the worst thing ever having a whole map made of obsidian.

If I recall correctly there is a way to do this in PC, its called anti-griefing.
Makes it so enderman dont steal and creepers dont do block damage but they can hurt you if I'm not mistaken with the same damage.
I would LOVE this. I always want to have monsters on. Only time I have monsters on is when I'm far far farrrr away from my builds. Its no fun to fix some red stone contraption you made months ago...
So until this feature comes out I only play peaceful : /
when i play survival with a bunch of kids i spend more time telling them to fill in the holes they left behind cause they gone hit by a creeper
after only an hr play my map looks more like the moon lol

It seems that you'd be some-what cheating survival if you cut out explosions, too (mind you fire can be turned off).
I definitely would like to have it since I have two adventure maps (one in particular) that I don't like having ruined....

i only want it for my adveture maps. its a host privalage type thing so it wont be destroying the game since it already destroyed the privlages of achivements and leaderboards on the game. its basically like a extra creative mode type thing. like the host privlages

If there's any good modmakers/programmers that could develop some kind of MCedit filter, and call it something like BanBreak, where no blocks can be destroyed in any way, that would be great. Also, Mojang could make it so that in adventure mode, explosions of any kind would not destroy blocks, but would still harm the player. Just a thought, but I really need it.

yes that actually helps for my PC minecraft. but like i said on your other post this is the xbox we are talking about. do u even got xbox minecraft because from the past post you made it seems like you dont. we cant use / stuff in the xbox minecraft. if we want to go in creative we have to exit out of everything we cant just put /gamemode 1

I actually like this one... Should be in the world options though, you know before you load the world. Possibly below the tnt check box. Would be nice to have it separate from that tnt thing so that if I wanted the creepers damage but not tnt then so be it. After all there is a small difference between the two.:D

I like MG's idea because it would increase the difference in difficulty between the various levels... except I would still have creepers to some damage still on easy... perhaps just to a fewer types of blocks. For example, on easy, perhaps cobblestone, stone, stone bricks and bricks and even perhas wood blocks could be 100% blast resistant while still allowing creepers to blow up dirt and sand and even perhaps glass.
However, I have no objection to a host privilege for limiting creeper blast effects as long as, like the others, using it disabled leaderboards and achievements. However, if you're merely playing an adventure map and not really intending to see it changed by your players further, you could do a backup map to a USB, play the copy that is still on your hard drive. Then, delete that "creeperized" map from your hard drive when you're done and reload an unaffected one from your USB onto the hard drive.

well no i think you may have misunderstood. i love when people play on the maps as thats the whole reason i made them. and since creepers can spawn in on he parkour, adv maps, and nuketown map that is actually playable with the zombies and everything. im not really looking for a way to save the world forever but just a way so that when people play it and they are noob enough to blow up a creeper (or just blew it up cuz it snuck up on them)it wont mess up the game. because when a creeper does blow up the map it could cause a hole that blocks people from being able to travel all around the map. then when the creeper messes up the map i will have to restart the whole thing over. for example a creeper blew up in the nuketown house and it basically blew up the whole room. no one would have been able to get food since the room was blown up and they couldnt cross it. thats why i want a mode or option so creepers cant damage blocks

That's why I did say "IF you're merely playing..." I can understand you're reasoning for it as a host privilege that disables leaderboards and achievements. However, I think if it were implemented in any other way, it would become a crutch for some to just take some of the difficulty out of the regular survival modes... and there is already Peaceful mode for that particular purpose. Also, most adventure maps are put into creative to build them anyways, so having the feature disable the leaderboards and achievements is not a concern for the majority of makers of adventure maps anyways.
However, if MG's idea was implemented, you could set the difficulty level to easy and still accomplish what you're asking without disabling the achievements and leaderboards. If my take on MG's idea was implemented, there would be some damage to the map, but nothing that should not be readily fixable... something like what happens IRL when a downhill skier falls and takes out the safety fence. The next skier is briefly held up at the start while a crew quickly fixes the damage.

Oh and I need to retract my earlier statement, I believe anti-griefing might be a mod or plugin of sorts.
So there is no garantee that we would ever get it, unless I'm wrong.
There would need to be a lot of support, and with the peaceful mode, I dont see it happening anytime soon.
