Please add a public game option where people can join random games. I know it seems like it would cause problems with people screwing with other people's creations but you would create a public game knowing that someone might do that. That's fine with me but I just want to be able to join randoms and see what happens.
Is there a reason that they don't consider doing this? Am I missing something? Why can't they add the ability to join public games. It's the hosts decision to make it with the consequences in mind. I would love it, even knowing someone could come in and screw stuff up.
Yes, like a matchmaking thing...simple scroll-down public server/game channel. People can decide to host say, hunger games, or a rpg server and click a "public" option to be put on the list, kind of like invite-only...would be great, especially for the fact that xbox has a limit on friends you can have...which makes everything a pain in the ass.

There have been many, many topics on this. It is obviously something the community wants, and if I remember correctly, 4J is looking into ways to do that. Who knows if, and when it may come. I believe something like this may be controlled more by Microsoft than 4J, since 4J is basically the lowest tier for deciding what goes into Minecraft on Xbox.

Would be great but I am sure the host would kick everyone who joined the game.
I think the host would set their match to private anyway if they were just going to kick any players that joined.
The options would be relatively the same as they are now for multiplayer matches where the host just decides what the other players are able to do. I think it's a great idea and was surprised that when I first downloaded Minecraft that this option was not available.

I honestly don't see why it wouldn't already be there.
