There should be more types of transportation, like maybe portals that can transport you from one part of the world to another, almost like the doors in the dimensional doors mod, or maybe like submarines that travel underwater or stuff like that or more stuff

As much as I like new content...
The world size is but a tiny 800 and sumthing blocks.
It takes a couple minutes to run, probably while also jumping to cross the whole thing.
Not to mention nether portals shorten your trip.
Because the nether is one block for every four over world block.
Meaning that a nether portal 20 blocks away in the nether would be 80 blocks away in the overworld.

I mean yeah these things are true, but adding more vehicles or types of transportation could make more creative possibilities, like we have minecarts and rails, without those, there may or may not be any train stations ever made in minecraft, new things like transportation give more ideas

Hmmm
I sometimes look at those mods where people make their huge boats work and stuff.
Although I think they're singleplayer only

Peterbread I agree and give major support there should be new and more ways of transport (the world may be small but i hate running from place to place). and Last_username_Im yes the world is small and it may take a few minuets to run from one end of the map to the other but who wants to take that few minuets to run when they can shorted there time and take a more fun way (plus nether portals only work if they are far enogh away and if if you managed to find diamond already.
personaly I hate running everywhere it takes so long to get from one place to another. yes the world is small but that is no excuse for not haveing more fun and faster ways to get around (i suggest like a helicopter or something that lets us see the world from above)

I'm fine with the way things are.
More vehicles would end up taking the "Minecraft" feel out of it to me.

i am not realy asking for vehicles just faster/new ways of transportation

they can at least do a sky transportation

ya that would be nice. make like a jetpack or something that you put where you would wear a chest armour then put coal or charcoal in it (up to 64) then you can fly around and it burns the coal at the same speed as a furnace and if you run out you can open your invintory (and not fall like you sink if you are in water) and just put another stack of coal where the jet-pack is and it puts it in it (or something like that)
