4J said trading with Villagers would come in a later update, and that means Emeralds are coming with it since they are a part of the trading system. As for Marble, that is pretty close to Nether Quartz which was recently added to the PC. Maybe they'll bring that forward as well.
Emeralds:
Nether Quartz:
If they added Nether Quartz, it would give us a whole new set of blocks to build with.
Oh sweet, I didn't realize there was an actual emerald block in PC minecraft. I thought it was just a stone you get from villagers through trading. Getting some other jewels would be nice too, so it differs slightly from the PC minecraft.
I agree somewhat. I would like new minerals and blocks added that have uses but I would also like a few decoration blocks like the nether quartz. They look great.
Nether Quartz isn't just for decoaration. It was a part of the PC "Redstone Update" and is used in making the Comparator that was just added to the PC.
Rubies, turquoise, sapphire, garnet, amythest, quartz, onyx, jade, blue diamonds, and a bunch of made up ones as well. Aluminum, copper, tin, zinc, nickel, cobalt, lithium, (maybe rare) and a way to make alloys. steel, brass, bronze, silver, maybe make ender pearls do something. Nether metals too.
Well i was thinking more nethiric ore, some of these names are made up,
Xaniaric Ore: when crafted into an item and thrown, it will agnite a 3x3 area, can also be crafted into blocks for decoration and to evaporate all water in a 10x10 area, up and down. (found in nether)
Mysterious Stone: when mined, will show a small particle effect leading to the nearest dungen, but will drop normal cobblestone.
Endranium: found in the end, can be smelted into ingots, and made into tools, stronger than diamond, and when crafted into blocks, endermen in a 20x20 area will be atracted towards it, when crafted into armor ender pearls don't take health when used, when crafted into tools the block you mine will be magnetized to you, making it easier to mine above lava.
Death Crystal: when mined, will damage all entities nearby and will damage the player while the crystal is in their inventory, about the same as poison or wither, but no damage sound. can be crafted into armor to deflect arrows at the cost of weakness. Can only be crafted into a sword, to deal much more damage than iron, but only a little more than diamond. When crafted into a block it will damage anything that touches it, including the player. (found in the nether)
Corenazite: when a player is near the ore, it will slow the player, forcing the player to mine the ore, but can be used for many crafting recipies. (found in the nether) Beam: just like lazers, but only damage whatever touches them, and is powered by redstone. Gravity Pulse: when placed, it will decrease the total gravity in a 10x10 area by 50%. Cirvarium Locator: A handheld item that beeps faster and faster the closer you get to Cirvarium ore. Portable Enhanced Gravity Pulse Unit, also called the P.E.G.P.U.: this will decrease gravity when used by 90%! Also able to make a limited amount of blocks float. Major problem is, it only has 10 uses, so use it wisely.
Cirvarium ore: just as good as diamond, but also has some secret abilities. When put into an anvil with any diamond item, it will triple the uses and triple the efficiency, making it a valueble recourse. (found in the nether)
Hunters Delight (item): Randomly droped or traded with by villagers but only obtainable once. This pair of goggles will light up anything living, or that can pose a threat, or be fatal.
I hope these are reasonable to get into the game.
Blaze crystal: Dropped randomly by blazes, and made into blaze pickaxes, and tools, and weapons. Tools smelt all items, and add fire effect to any player or mob hit.
Power gems: Randomly dropped by creepers. Adds a new effect called shock, and when shocked, you take extra damage, and are paralyzed.
Soul gems: Dropped by ghasts, swords add weakness effect.
Titanium: almost as strong as diamond.

Silver isn't an alloy its an element.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
Gypsum would be cool. It would look like glass. Minerals that are so small, it is hard to tell the difference in the dark. Growable crystals would be cool. You make a certain crystal into powder, combine it with water bucket, and you place what is in the bucket, it creates a seal on the ground, walk away, come back, and crystals. They should be like nether warts though. Walking on the seal of solution should mess it up though. Should be better than iron but worse than brass if we get it. Yellow, blue, green and red are the colors of these crystals. There should be so many minerals, that every cave should be loaded with minerals.
A few new ores would be nice, but nothing to the extent of Feed the Beast - thats too much. I would like to see them biome specific, the way emeralds are only found in extreme hills.
They should add ores that are higher tier than diamond so we can have more of a variety of tools/armor to choose from. 4J Studios is going their own way with the game after a certain point of time anyway, so I can imagine that this could happen.

Personally I'd like to see marble and emeralds.
Emeralds:
Nether Quartz:

Stay fluffy~
I had an idea for new stone dust varieties similar to redstone
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1708962-stone-dust-variety/#entry21177265
That would be really cool. I'm not sure about everyone else but I want to see a lot of Xbox exclusives.
Me two but I'd also like some of the newer features that are in the PC version (trading and anvils mostly).
