Four levels isn't enough, limits stuff you can do with train stations and redstone... 15-20 levels until you hit bedrock would be more than enough to hide stuff or do basements in the superflat.

Not really, it makes it easier. I personally don't know anyone that actually has a "basement" on superflat. There just isn't a need for one. Most players use superflat for testing or to simply play around with redstone. After which they transfer it to their main world, where it can be built underground. Just build floating redstone machines for now.

I have a SF survival world and would sort of prefer not to have to deal with Slimes, but meh....
