Option 1) Recipe Crafting- Everyone knows how in the PC version you have to actually make the recipe when crafting, but in the Xbox version the recipe is preformed. It is nice to have this ability when you are in a hurry, but i think that it is something that would add a challenge that is missing from the xbox edition. I would like there to be an option for the host to decide if the recipe is preformed or not.
Option 2) Unlocked Recipes- (as I saw someone else suggest in the "small suggestions" thread) there could be the addition of unlockable recipes. Finding books in chests in villages/strongholds/abandoned mineshafts/etc. and READING THEM would unlock certain recipes. Also, if trading with villagers is ever added to xbox, you could trade for these books. This option could be placed to allow you to decide whether a game is started with recipes locked or not.
NOTE: Instead of adding a recipe book they could also base the unlocking of items on the experience bar. Similar to how the enchantment table works, you would have to use experience points to unlock recipes. Or they could add both.
The following Items are to support the possibility of unlockable recipes:
New Item: Recipe Book- Exactly like the name suggests, these books are read to learn/unlock a new recipe. If a Recipe Book is in your inventory while crafting you can select it and use it to autoplace the blocks for the recipe.
Another suggestion from the small suggestions thread could be implemented along side these too. Bookcases that are actually used to store books. instead of being only for decoration, these bookshelves could store all of your books.
Recipe change: Bookshelf- Now instead of using books in the bookshelf recipe, you only need the wood for the shelf which is created empty. After which it takes three books to fill a shelf. Only a full shelf will enhance the enchantment table.

Yes. To all the things! I missed having to figure out all the crafting recipes, dragging, shift clicking, the wiki constantly open. I've felt like the adventuring aspect of the 360 version was a bit toned down, now everything is displayed right from the start even giving details about the items if needed. An option to turn all of this off and essentially turn the crafting bench into the PC version, maybe showing recipes that you've figured out along the way, or at least have an option to use the crafting table by dragging, something is better than nothing.
