I would suggest adding this to the small suggestions as this thread will probably be locked.
You're only allowed to post one suggestion per thread to allow that one suggestion to be focused on in the thread whereas ideas could accidently be left behind with multiple suggestions going on in one thread.

I changed it so it only shows one suggestion now which is the biggest one I wanted to suggest. the rope.

If its only purpose is to micro-manage recipes Im against it. The crafting system assumes the player has things like nails and glue. Adding an item just to make another item is pointless unless the former item has multiple uses beyond just being a recipe ingredient for the ladder. . . er, latter item.

I'm just stating it would be useful to have more different types of ladders, like for instance with the current ladders they need to be against another block but witha rope ladder you could use it like one in RL where it only needs to be tied to some sort of support at the top. would be nice for tree houses. as for other uses for rope. you could use it as a decoration item. maybe have the rope ladder or bride crafted from some other matterial like with paper you use sugar cane. just thowing an idea out. :/

What about the anchor point of the rope is a throwable grappling hook.
You could attatch it to a cross bow (which they should add)

Meteorite Ore. Which, upon smelting, can be used to craft ware 1.5 - 2.0X stronger than those of diamond make and are just as rare, if not rarer. Or at least the advent of a new ore that is as strong if not stronger or as rare as diamond is.

I was also thinking lassos crafted from rope.
That would grab mobs and once your at a 10 block distance start to lead them.
Great for those run away animals that don't get attracted by wheat.

yeah like chickens >.=.< I still haven;t figured out how to get them to follow you. cows and sheep aren't hard but pigs are a annoyence.
