I run a minecraft server and I know the most frustrating thing is not being able to toggle Mobs. A few of my friends and I have talked out the possibility to toggle mobs to do the following options -
- Have a one monster only let's play (Zombie week, creeper madness, ext.)
- Be able to play on a difficulty (no regenerating hearts) without creeper distruction.
-Be able to get mob xp and items without creeper explosions.
I think it would be a GREAT improvement if being able to toggle creepers (or any mob) was added to the Xbox edition. Just thoughts. Thank you!
The reason I don't like this is cause everyone would turn off mobs there scared of like creepers, enderman, or ghast. Which ruins the point in the game, you should want to be scared or annoyed at a creeper explosion. That's the fun of the game. And mustache guy is right the game is already too easy.
I would be in favor of a mob selector when generating new worlds (zombie apocolypse map!!) but definately not an option to toggle on the fly. Like others have said - thats the game. It wouldnt be MC without creepers.
I think if you tnt explodes off creepers shouldn't do environment damage because people can use that to grief.
And griefing isn't cool.
Yes or have a separate option to turn creeper encironment damage off... I think that would be the better way to go about it, than turning certain mobs off.
Of course I can see this turning specific mobs off in order to have a adventure map work as intended, like a zombie only map or creeper only..etc... but beyond custom maps, this option in my opinion really would be useless in the way of difficulty, as turning specific mobs off would make certain aspects of the game too easy. I do admit I want the game when in easy mode to be easier, but this would not be the way. I actually want all the mobs in the game. I can say the same about hard difficulty too, making that more difficult, but all this about difficulty would be better left to another idea.
Overall I would say no... Even if I can see the use for a custom map, but that is what spawn eggs and dispensers are for right?

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

:/
That doesnt stop natural spawns. If i wanna run a DayZ map I dont want the players to have to suspend disbelief whenever they see a skeleton or enderman. The map should be more immersive than that.

This.
I would prefer a mobGriefingFalse-type option from the PC over disabling one in particular.
Stay fluffy~
