I was thinking.
What if you had a bucket of water and dye in the crafting table and made paint?
I think the general idea of the dyes is that they are very thick by looking at the pictues.
This would mean that you could almost kind of splash the dye onto walls several times before you run out and are left with an empty bucket.
I think crafting paintbrushes would be tedious.
Maybe even mix the colours in the cauldron for more colour options.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
Mine?
I would wonder why you would direct that at yourself.
So thankyou.
I just add what I think.
Your the one with the great idea that started my chain of thought.
And for that sir I thank you.
We all want minecraft to evolve is a good sign when people can agree on things.

First off it is a good idea, that much is a solid opinion.
Right now though I don't see them adding something like this yet. I believe when they add parts of the Anvil File Format to the game is when they can expand the block count. It is then that this idea would be most feasible, as with this idea it is like adding more blocks to the game indirectly. After all they have to have a block ID to be saved with that color... Although what they could do in this case would be Primary and secondary Block ID...
The primary being the Block ID that you would normally see in the world.
The secondary would be the Paint color added to the block. Basically a sub ID for the block.
I know not many know the inner workings to how programming works and such, but I figure at least have some idea of how to put it into the coding for it to work with the coding. I do not pretend to know how the game code is built, as I only am giving a rough sketch up of the initial idea. The nitty gritty stuff can be figured out with the basis in mind.
If it works it works, if not I guess they could think of some other way to go about it. After all I only know the basics of programming not the actual programming itself. Well for the most part.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
0. can only paint a limited number of blocks per brush/paintcan.
0. usage of dyes for paint colors
0.
0.
sorry if this has been mentioned or if it is not possible or just stupid.
