Hey Minecrafters, its me again, with another idea: automatic crafting tables. If added, it would appear around the time of hoppers, comparators, ect. When looked into with the LT button, two crafting grids would appear. On the left, you put in the crafting recipe of the item you want to craft (like a normal crafting table). You do not take the item. Instead, when fed the proper items by a hopper, dropper, ect. the items will appear in the grid to the right, and when it has the proper items to craft the item on the left, it will craft it and that item can be taken by a hopper. The items on the left stay there to "tell" the auto-crafting table what to make. Any items not used in the internal crafting recipe will be passed through to the hopper. I know the hoppers arent here in the xbox yet, but I think when they do come out this will be a good idea to make with a mob farm or something else. For example, if attached to a skeleton farm, you can put 1 bone in the auto-crafting table to "tell" it to make bone meal, but the arrows would just pass through.

it can place and take things out of more than just chests. Well, they are pretty complicated so fr gods sakes, just look at the wiki, minecraftinlikecrazy.
I actually like this idea, if I'm understanding it right. It would help a lot with making stone bricks, which I do a lot because I like them. Though it seems to me more of a convenience than anything necessary.

exactly. It can help with farming aswell, and for quickly making blocks, like you said. Its much more convinient to place them in a crafting table and it does the work for you.

What's your point? Making stone bricks isn't necessary either.
OP: Anyway, I do like the idea. Though I think keeping the selection menu style of crafting would be better. It's annoying trying to use the traditional crafting grid with a controller. Plus, this eliminates the need of dormant items in a second grid. Maybe there could even be functionality to queue up different items. Could be pretty useful in a mob grinder, turning bones into bonemeal and spider web into wool at the same time. This and the other redstone update features would most likely have to come as DLC though. (If they ever come at all...) I highly doubt we will make it to 1.5 with the free updates.
