there should be more that building and surviving in minecraft so i thought that we should be able to gain quests
by going in to a new structure called a tow,go to a notice board an accept the quest, for what ever it is get a reward after doing what the quest says to do, like kill 10 spiders, collect 10wool,or what ever it would be cool to add these to minecraft
Yes this would be cool, but where would this be spawned and how frequently, and what about the people that don't want quests. There should be a button that can enable/disable the quest mode.
I think it could be spawned in a village there would be one in each village, but not on a notice board maybe a villager could give it to the player, and when it is complete that villager will give the player something like some bottle O' enchanting.
hmm... could be a special villager. Like how the villagers are suppose to have jobs associated with them. Could be a guild of some kind with an extra office per say to go along with it. Could be similar to what the blacksmith looks like. Minus the lava and iron bars. That area could have a counter where the villager will be enclosed in when the build is spawned in the village.
Of course that would mean for each village there would be a chance for it to spawn. Also could be a stand alone hermit in a shake of some kind that gives quests that might be located in the swamp, forest, hills, or something like that.
Another type could be one that dons heavy cloth coat that spawns with building in the snowy regions. Like a wood cabin of sorts, which could also mean forest too but not so heavy on the cloth. It would be more like woodsman.
For the desert type it could be some kind of temple/shrine or something maybe an oasis that a villager sandstone building will spawn. Kinda like an adobe per say.
For the mountains it could be a mine entrance that may or may not lead into a cave/mine in the side of a mountain. There will be a miner hut with a miner to give the quests.
With these ideas I believe with just adding a chance of them to appear will at least get a random number of them; limit 1 of each kind per map.
And maybe a floating house for the ocean biome that a villager will be in. Although might be best done after trading comes about so they would be able to stay near the place.
Mooshroom biome could have a mystic or shaman of some kind in a hut.
There could be 1 made for each type of biome out there, and still only have a chance to spawn, so that those will not just be all over the place.
Having a separate option to turn off quests would also turn of the quest villager and building along with it from spawning, like how structures have its' check box.:D
