Below the Exit Game option, there should be a skill test option. If you go into this, it plunges you into a world that is more limited than our current ones and it has no night, but monsters spawn in the day. The world would not save, and it is equal to normal mode. It goes until you die, then it deletes the world and gives you the stats. How long, monsters killed, items crafted, blocks mined, and others.
Nice idea, but I'm not sure about the not saving part. This seems like it would be a nice addition to Hardcore mode. Maybe it should be an option if going into Hardcore mode (along with other challenges), and instead of not saving ever, it should be a save/exit option. That means if you exit and re-enter to, say, get different enchantment on your pickaxe, it'll save whatever you got on it initially, preventing that way of exploiting saves.
Maybe when you die it goes out of the hardcore mode and into normal minecraft hard, normal, easy stuff.
Then if the player is really hardcore he can just delete it anyway while nobody gets upset.
Also you can only save when exiting and there should be a leaderboard for it.
Maybe a difficulty selection aswell which would have separate leaderboards.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
It kind of sounds like a Hardcore Adventure mashup with new features. I like it, although I don't like the fact that you can't save / your world is deleted. I'll personally never play Hardcore because of the world delete. I'm not going to lose days of work just because I turned left instead of right.
