I would love to see some type of ability to communicate with other players who don't have/use a mic. Perhaps some simple gestures or just text even. Some examples might include a greeting, a warning, a yield, a query, etc. Something quick so that when a stranger shows up on my doorstep, I know their intentions and I can show mine as well.
Didn't see any previous post on this, but if I missed it, sorry.
Hmm... reminds me of cartoons... You know when the character all a sudden has a ? above their head, or some other graphic above their head roughly stating or querying something.
Thought bubbles would be interesting in my opinion, and that would be a way to semi-communicate. Of course the only problem is how to initiate such. I would suggest the D-pad but many use that in flying... Well when creative or host options are used to be able to fly. I personally don't use the D-Pad, but there might be other ways to do it. Hmm...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

I think you're onto something here, maybe a little "emoticon" style menu that we can access that would allow players to choose from a select number of things to pop up above our character's head, such as hearts, question marks, exclamation points, etc.
Maybe pressing both bumpers at the same time? I don't think that would affect game play at all and even if you somehow failed to get the timing it wouldn't hurt anything.
I really like the emoticon idea. Perhaps the devs would be able to assign one button to pull up a quick-menu with the options. Kind of like Happy Wars-style.

But I wouldn't mind gestures that aren't...finger-related.
Stay fluffy~
