How would they add them? It's not exactly as easy for the avg xbox minecrafter to type into the xbox.
Inginuity is the key: instead of the Command /tp @p to 13.30.-22 it would be a series of interfaces. 1- press which command you want
2- Depending on what command you entered, tell it who to apply the command to(easy, the list would have names of everyone on the map, plus the @p @a) 3- depending on the command, tell it where or what, for instance after selecting "Gamemode" "@A" the final options would be Creative, Survival,Adventure
What they need to do since they cannot properly add jungle biomes, is to add some jungle wood into chests like the melons seeds, saddles, and cocoa already are. This way cocoa can be grown without the hastle of adding the code for leaves, saplings, ocelots (which is a slight shame), and the biome codes itself. I couldn't care if they didn't add the jungle planks and stairs and just made it oak or spruce if broken down. I would just like the ability to grow cocoa. And if adding jungle wood is still to much to ask, then maybe just the ability to grow cocoa off of oak. I would try and Tweet it to 4J themselves, but I don't have a Tweeter. If someone with Tweeter reads this, it would be must appreciated if you could relay this to 4J. I do have a few other ideas, but I'll just make a second reply.
The ability to distill your own experience points into bottles to preserve them from loss upon death. An alternative, at least for Xbox, for a legit Bottle O' Enchanting.
Lanterns: Would act just as torches, with the added ability to produce light while being held.
Redstone Blocks: I know I'm not the first to have this idea, but it would be extremely handy. It would be interesting to have it add some kind of new property to redstone circuits; however, if it was only good for storage and building material is just fine also.
Automatic Feeders: I recently heard of an idea to put lets say 9 pieces of wheat together to make a haystack (or maybe a hayblock), which would be neat if fed/bred animals automatically. However, my personal idea for this would be to dispense wheat from a dispenser. If the animal was close enough, the wheat would be used on/eaten by the mob.
Emerald arrows: Not exactly sure what these would do. Maybe they could be recovered even after hitting a mob. Possibly just a little stronger than regular arrows.Or maybe they can only be fired from a Blaze Bow, which is my next idea.
Blaze Bow: again, not certain what exactly it does. maybe only fires Emerald arrows. Made like a regular bow with the exception of blaze rods instead of sticks, or maybe with a regular bow also added to the middle crafting square. Possibly already has flame enchantment. Maybe it only affects mobs in the Nether or Endermen don't teleport when struck by an emerald arrow.
I had some more ideas, but I can't recall them at this moment. Let me know what you guys think. And again, if someone with a Tweeter would relay some of these to 4J, it would be most appreciated.
I'd like maybe an interface with different shortcut types and etc in creative mode.
Could come out of the back button menu and be applied to a player by selecting their profile from list or a option to access all shortcut try cheapy thingies but only in creative or only with them activated before entering world.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
