It is quite useful because I want to build an archery range, and if player can hit the center of a target in distance, he will get reward from a projector. But it requires that arrows able to trigger plates and buttons! We have those features in PC version, why we can't have them in MCX360?
What would be the point in adding wooden buttons if arrows could not activate them? O_o
Sure I can see the decorative side, but that is the primary purpose of those buttons....
Hmmm it seems like you answered your own question there... at the very least it would add a new esthetic value, but if you really want to know I think 4J Studios would be the people to ask...
The key word in my post was "guess," which was leaning toward pessimism because I'd rather not get my hopes up only to be let down (again) if things don't function like they do in PC yet.
Seems to me that it would be a bit of a rush judgement to assume any functionality based on a solitary screenshot, and trying to gauge based on PC Minecraft behavior doesn't exactly work all the time. I'm just pointing out that Wooden buttons are on the way.
Bear in mind that not everyone who plays the Xbox version is so well-versed in the history of PC Minecraft snapshots let alone the "primary" purpose of all of these various pieces; based on my experience so far it doesn't seem all that uncommon for pieces to lack certain expected qualities when they first appear in the 360 version.

True enough, although like you it doesn't answer my question, as that second bit wasn't the question. I may have worded it wrong, but it makes sense in what you say. Yeah not everyone has played the pc version, that I do take lightly, since it is true. That is why I point certain things out, at least the original intention of certain items where it was known. Well I try to anyway, after all I don't know all the history first hand, I only know from observation and the many video series out there done through the age of minecraft, if not from others that have experienced it first hand. It is how I learn, especially when someone corrects me that has more knowledge about the matter than me... Which is most likely...lol
After all I only started the pc edition in 1.3.1, but been with xbox since 1.7.3 which is what I played first. Mostly I just did a lot of research on certain things, which not everyone does either... to be expected though, as not every feels the need to..lol
I agree though, that I don't want to jump to conclusions either, and just wait till they come out to see for myself. It is that I go about each update. I would like to "see things for myself" before making my opinion or fact true/false.:D else it is just assuming, and that well I just keep in mind that all assumptions are just rumors, or ideas of what might be, but not concrete fact. Anyway thanks for pointing that out.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

Thanks for the very civil reply, I think we have a similar mindset. I never played PC version but I started playing Xbox version and when I started up to find the total lack of Creative Mode my heart sank lol. It felt like it took way too long for Creative Mode to show up, and although I understand the reason for the delays I still try to look on the downside simply because it is better to be pleasantly surprised than to be sorely disappointed. I'll admit that I took your post the wrong way and now I feel bad for being so blunt about it, thanks for being so cool about the whole thing! Hopefully we will be pleasantly surprised and get what we expect, I've been itching for the arrow-activated buttons since the beginning lol

Wood buttons are coming in TU9, no word on if arrows activate them but I'd guess not yet
