The world size, according to the Wiki, is 862 x 862, which is about one map. Personally, I would LOVE infinite worlds, but I would be satisfied with them adding eight map sized portions around the current world! Imagine, new areas to explore, new generated structures, for those of us who generated in 1.6.6. Support so 4J will see this!!!!
Would be nice when it rains that grass will have a chance to grow on the grassy dirt blocks; the tall grass/flowers/etc... Kinda like spreading the bounty and growing or appearing when it rains. Just a thought to make a more conventional use for having rain, as it does not fill lakes or do much beyond make lightning storms to turn mobs vicious or more vicious. Mind as well have something that helps replenish the landscape a bit.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
How about an addition into the sprinting and flying controls? Down Down= Back Fast. Left Left= Left Fast. Right Right= Right Fast. This would make doing tedious jobs like placing ice for instance over the top layer of the map way easier and faster (Yes I am trying to flood a map... now the map won't work since the update =( ) Also the Right stick and A buttons should control the Y coordinate (not the direction in which you move your stick). The reason for this of course would be the ease of placing massive amounts of blocks while looking up or down while flying.Another suggestion is when generating a new world there should be check-boxes for each biome. Meaning I could have an entire map with just let's say mooshroom biome. Is this possible?
I think 4j really needs to read this whole thread i know someone from their team probably drops by this forum once in a blue moon but a thread like this needs attention i'd do it myselff but i only have the net on my phone and typing on this thing can be annoying at times
So it would be nice if someone could get their attention
Well I was thinking more along the lines of cars, cars that have boat physics, but be driven on land and cannot go over slabs and can only be driven on flat ground. Also there should be user specific chests, kind of like enderchests, but count each chest counts as a new storage system. Not like the enderchest where it's just one chest no matter how many blocks you place. I could also use item specific pressure plates, I.E. a pressure plate won't send a Redstone signal unless a piece of glowstone dust is on it, if a brick is on it, it won't send a signal.

We do read this thread! We might not reply here, but we are reading all the suggestions, and they will help to define where we go in the future with the game.
Keep them coming please!

"All you outsiders, you haters, and liars. Your time is just counting, so come meet the mountain"
Sorry if some of these thoughts have been suggested.
Hears an Idea.
stronger bows adding materials to make the improved bow.
Iron bows: more duribilaty and strength for the bow
Diamond Bows: even more duribilaty and strength then the Iron
An option to sleep through daytime to get to night time faster so you may kill more mobs, how this would work is another version of bed that takes black wool and wood makeing the bed that allows you to sleep through the day.
New drop: mooshroom leather this would cause a pattern in your leather armor if you used the mooshroom leather to make it, then later on if 4j adds the ability to dye leather armor it could have two different colors.
End sword: made with two ender pearls and does more damage then diamond but less durability.
Ender (eye) Sword: would be made with two eyes of ender same damage as the end sword but more durability maby less then diamond still though.
I didn't bother to read whether this has been suggested or not but I wanted to throw this out there. Why not add an Emerald Tool set as the Xbox Exclusive? Same mining speeds as the gold set but half the durability of the diamond one! And so the Pc'ers don"t complain give them a ruby set (same functions, different colors)

Maybe some flash floods eh? lol more nature things would be nice.
I'd like dual wield swords. The block button is the second attack for the second sword so you can't block. You can't also have two enchanted dual wield swords.
I would like different attacking moves. When you tap RT you hit like normal, but when you hit it again, Steve does a vertical-side strike and when pressing RT again, Steve thrusts with his Sword, mimicking a stab. These don't affect range, damage, movement, animation of Steve and knockback(maybe the thrust). Just to change up the combat. You must press RT in rapid succession to do these. Holding RT just does the same sword animation. If added, put an option to disable this for only the player.

That's good to know most game companies don't do that they are too scared of getting sued and stuff which is sad cause lots of cool potential game content gets ignored
It woulld be cool if somehow most of the ideas in this thread actually became part of the game i know that is lots of stuff but you have to give the people what they want
Even though there are people who don't the game to change for their absurdly stupid reasons just cause new stuff is added doesn't mean you have to use it but they rather complain then see the game keep evolving like it always has
So keep up the good work 4j since you seem to actually care about the players

That won't happen because the xbox doesn't have enough Ram to support infinite worlds unlike the pc.

Wow, I play Minecraft on PC and Xbox. PC for personal play, I don't play multiplayer on PC. Xbox for playing with friends.
People on xbox must be lazy, I mean.. "Automatic mining machine, backpacks, flashlights". C'mon.. I've never used a mod on PC and don't plan to do so. I see no need to have something like that, as it's really not the game. Why not play it as Vanilla. This is of course, my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own. I'm just saying, do you use this type of stuff when you play on PC?
Why should Minecraft Xbox edition be any different than the PC version? It's the same game. "I" think the updates should be the same as they were on PC.
Now, as for something I'd like to see in the Xbox edition, is a custom button layout, as it is on Skyrim.
You can choose exactly what button you want to do what, instead of having to use the preset layout.
Also, of course, I do believe the worlds should not have a limited size, just as it is on PC. I'm not exactly sure if PC version is unlimited, as I do not just run into one direction but I don't like seeing a border of how far I am allowed to go on Xbox.
Even if it's not unlimited, it could be enlarged by quite a bit.

I can understand where you are coming from, but I as well think in the opposite to some degree. PC and xbox I believe are 2 different titles of the same thing. Each has their own pros & cons.
As for some of the things you mentioned; I don't understand how a backpack makes people lazy. All it would do is expand your inventory a bit, as well have a possibility to show up like armor/cape.
Actually that was the only thing you mentioned that I myself would be interested in. I never saw a suggestion for the auto mining thing..O_o That would be ridiculous, as I prefer doing the mining myself and not some machine.
I actually do own both. PC I do play without mods, not that I can run any of them anyway...>< I have problems with the current version of vanilla, that I use to not when 1.3.2 came out. Mainly FPS dramatic drop and quite a bit of the options not working. Another reason I play on the xbox, even if it doesn't stop me from playing the pc version. I actually play each in a different way since there are different things in each to toggle with, or rather a different feel anyway.
Well this is an exclusives thread so what would you expect...lol

Stackable potions and the possibility of carrying milk in glass bottles. I don't want to carry a bunch of milk buckets around when I explore abandoned mineshafts.

See this is the problem most people who complain about the game changing just assume that everyone has the pc game as well
Well they don't so we don't have mods to download to get the items and stuff we want so we have to beg 4j to add it for us
As for automining i'm guessing you're refering to the redstone laser idea i had which isn't solely for mining it could be used for a trap or as a weapon as for automining i suggested it more for clearing out large areas i imagine most people don't like spending hours clearing an areas in my case i spent around 2 1/2 days clearing out a mob dark room under the ocean pre-creative mode and it was pretty mind numbing boring
I would guess people who don't want to leave survival mode could use such an item to speed up mining when they are creating large projects
i've seen a lot of reaaly good ideas on here like brown flowers in mooshroom biome and emerald tool sets, but many seem like they would make better optional add ons like mods ( glider, backpack, more mobs) . So , i'd jsut like to be the voice for more casual minecrafters when i say that 4j ought to consider such things if they havent already. personally, im one of those that doesnt want the xbox360 edition to stray too far away from the pc version, which is why i suggested some of the more creative ideas be optional mods or something of that nature. also, as an idea i havent seen yet on here, i'd like to suggest "filesharing" be implemented for 360 to eliminate round about ways of playing other people's maps without them being on, such as adventure maps.

A voice of reason but from what i have seen on the forum 4j is going their own way with the xbox version
As for turning content into mods it doesn't really need to happen just because they add something to the game doesn't mean you have to use it instead they could add new options for players to disable certain items in their world
Berry bushes would be cool. PLEASE better gold ore distribution. The golden tools suck anyways, why not just add more gold. Slime blocks would be cool. The player would sink into them, and they would slow down. Same textures as diamond blocks but green. Pastel stone mod, which adds multiple colors of stone, therefore multiple colors of cobblestone and multiple colors of stone bricks. Different types for each block like smooth, meaning the texture of the block has less variation in patterns, small bricks and large bricks, which small bricks are the regular brick texture and large bricks are the stone brick texture. They should add gold bricks, diamond bricks, iron bricks, lapis bricks, obsidian bricks, netherrack bricks, and many more. Also, a cobblestone for each mineral block, and obsidian and netherrack, and many more.
