I am sure this is obvious but i still think it should be said. We should have a Slab, Stair, upside down stair block for every material. Including glass, wool, glowstone, sandstone, cobble and so on. I think the only exceptions should be sand and gravel. More variety of doors with different looks, uses, vulnerabilities like glass, stone, diamond.
Another idea is for sideways slabs, instead of placing flat you place on its side so it is 1 wide, 1 tall, and 1/2 deep. If you made an entire room like this you would end up with 1 extra block of space taking up the same amount of room. But possibly make the walls more brittle(a 1/2 thick wall should be weaker than a 1 thick wall).
glass Panels/Iron bars, you should be able to place them in the center of a block(currently) or on the edge(like doors).
Food, Storage:
If food is going to be a more important part of the game i think it needs more attention, i think we should be able to craft an ice box.
Ice box: Craftable
Use: Storage for perishables. Eggs, Milk, Meats, Etc...
Drastically increases shelf life of perishables. If not kept on person or in ice box perishables have a shelf life and will turn rotten after a set amount of time.
Game Difficulty adjustments:
A game variation of peaceful should be added where no hostile mobs spawn, but hunger is still active. This would give a small challenge to peaceful without adding in hostiles.
Natural Disasters/Events:
Some natural events should occur at random such as
-Eclipse(where hostile mobs can spawn in the day for a short period of time, sun blocked) -Floods(which would raise the water level by 1-2 tiles for the whole map, temporary) -Drought(water levels fall by 1-2 tiles for whole map, possible dessert area expands, Temporary, crops not irrigated well die) -Meteor(Meteor falls from the sky causing some damage on impact(similar to TNT but much smaller radius), New special type of ore can be mined from meteor rock.
Geography: Terrain made during world generation:
Volcano: Mountain with lava lake in top. Chance of eruption.
Buried treasure: Chests hidden underground(fairly shallow), especially near beaches with some precious items in it.
Wood Veins: Small veins/chunks of wood found underground near dirt deposits. Bring an axe mining!
Transportation:
Vertical rails, powered rail that moves a minecart straight up/down, similar to ladders for minecarts.
Iron boats: faster, more durable than wooden boats, can fit 2 people.
Redstone: These are things we can already make using more complex means, i hope these would allow us to make the more complex machines in less space.
Pulser: Similar to a repeater but you can toggle from 1 to 4 pulses, when an input signal is supplied it will turn the steady on signal into 1-4 pulses. Piston Head: I think the piston arm/head should be crafted separately from the piston body. Craft the body and set it down facing the right direction, craft a piston head that is either a 1 or 2 block arm. "Load" the piston with a 2 head arm and when activated will extend 2 spaces. Netherrack: When netherack is set on fire it burns forever. I think when unpowered unlit netherack is supplies a current is should catch fire, when that current is turns off the fire goes out. when not connected to a power supply it acts as it currently does.
What about the Aether? I don't think the PC edition is planning that any time soon. I want to see flying cows, floating bunny things, and flying whales...
Personally, though the area in the 360 version is very large, it is still limited and you don't always get certain biomes. That being said, my suggestion for a 360 exclusive item would be a Biome Block. You would need ridiculous materials to craft (like 8 blocks of diamond and something of the biome you wanted) and when you broke the block it would give you a confirmation message to make sure you want to use it there and if you said yes, it would save and exit the game. When you loaded it back up all the blocks within a large radius (say 500 block or more) would now have recreated the area with that biome in it.
The reason it would do it when you broke the block, is so you could use it as decoration too, and it would need to exit the game because trying to delete a large chuck of the map and repopulate it with something else will probably cause a great number of errors if you're still in the game(though admittedly it would be cooler to just get a bunch of these blocks and change the areas rapidly again and again )
Errr.. I don't think anyone wants their whole world to become a single biome. Also, this would be a lot more complex than it sounds.
Think you should be able to set up time periods for certain worlds, this would allow you to be able to make different weapons for different time periods. But this idea probably isn't that great, its just a thought though.
Be neat to see new mobs though lots of them. Maby even a few new things that mobs could do, like Squids could pull you down under water and try to drown you, causeing you to be more careful in the water and watch your air bar. I think you could even some times have a tamed animal bring you items if you had like an option to pet them. This would allow like another feature like a friendship meter decideing how good the relationship you and your pet have. The higher the friendship meter the more frequently it brings you items. Along with this I also thought we should be able to name our pets (optional choice) if you want and it will have its own color tag so you don't confuse it with other players.Dont know how useful it could be but another Item we could add to the game could be Tar and you could place it, when mobs/players walk through it, they will walk slower. Could also add a new thing to decorate around the buildings and structures maby. Tar pits any one?
I'd like to see a game mode a lot like MineZ with the addition of enchanting and xp.
For those who haven't heard of it:
MineZ is a Minecraft mod coded entirely at the server level that adds the thrill of the zombie apocalypse.
Custom and ruthless zombie AI: Zombies use a unique line of sight depending on how a player moves, meaning moving slowly and carefully is crucial to the survival of a player. Going beyond that, zombies will investigate noises, go to a players last seen location if you try to lose them around a corner, and are just as much of a threat in the water as they are on land. MineZ uses the experience bar to show player visibility, allowing players to identify what actions are causing zombies to swarm them.
Inventory management: Players start with next to nothing, and must find their equipment in chests found within towns, ruins, castles, and dungeons. Certain areas sport different equipment, and each chest is randomly generated from an extensive loot table. This means every adventure will be different, as the items will be different each time you visit a location. In addition, most items do not stack, meaning players must make careful choices in what to carry on their journey.
Health, food, and thirst: Health regeneration is disabled in MineZ, meaning that players must find health potions or eat food to regenerate their health. In addition, food is scarce, meaning players must be careful in when they choose to sprint or climb a large mountain. Finally, thirst has been brought into the game and is represented in the experience level part of the Minecraft UI, meaning carrying water bottles for long journeys is essential if a player does not want to die of dehydration.
I would like to see a battleaxe that can be used to parry with, and deals the same damage as the sword of its type, but lasts longer. There should be different time periods, and the time period you choose, will determine the kind of structures that generate and mobs that spawn in what places. Like if you pick mid-eval times, castles should generate along with the other structures, and there should be villager kings and queens, and villages should be replaced with large towns, and castles in every town. (Obviously only if they can expand world size,) In the future, you can find cities built out of iron blocks, and player-looking NPC's and ROBOTS, some passive, and some neutral. And in futuristic and present, people have guns varying in type. Some people would be civilians and not do anything, but police have guns. There should be multi-use tools like pitchforks, whips, cattle prods, and knives. For example, pitchforks can be used to till soil, or as a weapon. Knives should be able to be used as weapons, or you should be able to craft widdling tables that has a crafting table and a knife, and you can make wooden house decorations, or clay.
I would like to see an item that is crafted out of an ender pearl that if you throw it at a mob, it teleports the mob into the air and he is stuck there and can't hurt you, giving you a temporary advantage over the mob.
c4, for more discreet traps like you cant see it when placed on a block, a smaller blast radius, a detonator block when powered with redstone, a remote detonator, and a timer.
teleporters, must be powered with redstone and have frequency of 1-50
bow scopes, yeah...
muskets, uses 1 gunpowder and 1 iron ball per shot, and different ammo types like armor piercing able to go thru certain blocks based on blast resistance, 5 second reload time, 4.5 hearts of damage
blow gun, deals 1 heart of damage with iron darts and 2.5 with obsidian darts (i think obsidian needs more uses than nether portals), and can be applied with weak, normal, or strong poisons and potions, use them to heal a friend!
tazer, doesn't deal damage but paralyzes the target for a few seconds, stops creepers from exploding, no effect on zombies, pigmen, and skeleton
lucky charm, higher chance to get more loot from dungeons, strongholds, mine-shafts, and mobs
cannon, mountable stationary turret, slow moving explosive projectile, very small blast radius, 1 cannonball and 3 gunpowder per shot, 10 second reload, area of effect: direct hit (same block) 10 hearts, 1 block from projectile 6 hearts, 2 blocks 3 hearts, and 3 blocks 0.5 hearts, all damage reduced by 20% with armor, 4 block assembly (pivot below the base, base in back , and barrel in front ), 2 blocks tall
and 2 long
shrines, 5x5x5 structures with mob heads that attract that kind of mob, useful for mini-games
1 way shield doors, like in halo if you've ever played it, also useful for mini-games
spawn blocks, not replacing beds, just changing the default spawn point to a 5x5x5 or 10x10x10 area so you can respawn inside, creative mode only, useful for adventure maps
mob repellent, one spray keeps all mobs including passive mobs from spawning in a 30 block radius
scuba gear, chest and head slot, increases underwater breath time, oxygen tank must be refilled once used all the way
this is off the top of my head but given time i could think of more!
A dis-assembly table.
Example;
Let's say you ACCIDENTALLY created a diamond hoe (waste of 2 diamonds...) and instead of getting mad and throwing a fit. You pull out your trusty dis assembly table. Put the diamond hoe in and vuala, 2 diamond and 2 sticks...

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.

Better yet, apply it to the crafting table. Perhaps you could press X to swap to disassemble mode.
One of the voxel-based XBL indie games implemented this. For the life of me, I can't remember which one.

That's actually a really good idea! Ya, we have stone stuff already, but what about uses of flint (wastes of inventory)?
I'm not saying guns, Minecraft is good without them. Then it would be considered violence more than it is now (Which isn't much).
A stone age would be awesome. You could have new mobs like mammoths and saber tooths. New biomes, like glacier biomes, or addition to the taiga biome?
I would like to see marine life other then the squid . maybe sharks, dolphins, sea horse , whales , coral , something down there ~ how can you catch a fish but not see it swimming in the water . i can build a glass house underwater , i won't see anything ..........
Deathclaws?(kidding).
What about some kind of gun.
guns will do the same thing it did to the world.Dont think thats a nice idea. What if an enderdragon egg hatches and we can keep the dragon as ours and it only obeys us. like a wolf but bigggggggggggggggggger

It would be better if you had to make a bunch of parts, each with ridiculous recipes, to craft into a gun.
Oh, and better yet, add a five-dollar pack that adds blood, gore, guns, and zombies that puke blood in the player's face and disorient their vision for a few seconds. This would be better than adding blood and guns into the game. Think about the children... Oh yeah, and a screen that pops up telling you that you are adding this into your game, and you need an adult account's permission.

Well then... that's pretty... good...
If they did add that, then it would be a really good thing to need a password for it. Minecraft is that simple game, though, not Call of Minecraft.

1. Can click "Servers" on the main menu, and a server list pops up and you can edit it to your liking.
or
2. Enter the hosts gamertag and be able to join them if they have it open.
