I've been playing minetest-c55 (a stable port of the original minecraft that is designed to work on older machines but still give you some of the features of the later release versions). I use it as a test bed for ideas and to pass the time when my family have the TV :-)
Anyway, one of the minetest mods adds redstone functionality (they call it mesecons). In this mod they have two different kinds of redstone wires: non-insulated (what we currently have) and insulated. Insulated wires are laid down facing a particular direction and will not join to adjacent wires except when the two end meet.
I'd like to see insulated redstone added to MCXBLA, (frankly, I'd like to see the entire redstone system replaced with the mese system, but that's not going to happen) Havin insulated wiring would make many contraptions much easier to build because you could lay wires next to each other without creating short circuits.
almost sounds like what repeaters are used for now...O_o Although it is a decent idea.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
- A height of 256 would be awesome, like on PC. That's easy to do, and A LOT of people are doing skyscrappers, especially now that there's gonnae be creative mode.
- Graphic packs to change the look of the game. It's a MUST HAVE.
- All the different blocks that there's on PC. It's easy to make them on Xbox, it's just the graphics to change, and it means a lot for all the one who builds stuff
- Some of the best and most popular mods, as DLC. MANY Minecraft users are willing to PAY extra Microsoft Points for some content... Especially me
- A way to easily share the worlds, or even better, to see all the worlds that can be accessed online ! And most importantly, to be able to store a world ONLINE. A MUST HAVE for teams that want to make incredible builds...
GREAT NEW IDEAS (well i hope lol):
- New kind of blocks that doesn't even exist yet on PC ! Marble would be nice, or tiled floor for exemple.
- Exclusive mobs for the Xbox. Why not minotaurs or snakes ? And for passive mobs, rabbits would be soooo lovely ! Or peacocks. Or a Unicorn, that would be wild, difficult to get near to, and very rare !
- Train is great for traveling, but that's like the only way to travel on Minecraft. Why not adding horses ? A new mod that could be use for traveling ? Or even make it "wild" at first, and then obeying to you ? Planes would be awesome... but maybe a little "too much" for the ancient style of Minecraft. I don't know.
- Village with villagers are awesome. We're not feeling alone in the Minecraft world anymore. Why not add castles, with king and people ? They could be hostile if you approach too much. Or passive or hostile depending on the players attitude.
- Different colors for the clouds. Some light white, some darker, just before the thuder.
- Extreme weather, like floods (water that would add up to 2 or 3 blocks, tornado, or earthquakes that would destroy some kind of blocks only (glass), etc...
- A new kind of weapon. Canons would be awesome ! To make mines, or to make "war" between two castles !
IDEAS THAT COULD CHANGE THE WAY WE PLAY MINECRAFT:
- A whole new way of possibilities, just like pistons. With... wheels ! To transport chest, or to use as carriage for the horses. Or to use as a mechanics that, put on top of blocks, turns 90° when activated ! That would bring a whole new world of possibilities, just like the pistons did
Something that could flip blocks at 180° could be great too.
- A way to make elevators with redstone in Minecraft. So many people are trying to make some, but the result is mostly... well not that great (not working anymore because of an update, complicated, not working, etc...). The idead would be to be abble to move a block (only sandstone, for exemple) forward or "up and down", in a 1x1 "tunnel" made of another precise block type (for exemple cobblestone). The floors could be marked with another type of blocks of redsone. It would be redstone activated. It could be awesome also to make secret passages.
PS: all my ideas are for Minecraft Xbox and also for PC (some are already on there, in know). Some could be on both (like the wheels), and some less important could be only on Xbox (like the rabbits, exclusive mobs, exclusive blocks, etc...
I love this game SO MUCH (for me it's one of the greatest game ever made) and really hope i helped with at least one good idea THANKS A LOT FOR READING ME AND SORRY FOR MY "APRROXIMATE" ENGLISH I hope i helped !
No, but seriously, I'd love to see more mobs especially something aquatic! We are seriously lacking in the aquatic mobs area. We don't even have any aquatic plants. Kelp would be a nice underwater plant to add! It'd be kinda like sugar cane except that it can grow super tall until it reaches the surface of the water and serve as a home to fish and turtles or something, maybe little minecraft crabs, i dunno. I'm just bored waiting for this update. . . kinda like that aquatic plant idea, though. that may be worth working on and trying to expand.
servers should be added. like MMORPG. i know it can be done cuz PS3 have done this with a few games... or just increase the number fo people able to join a world lol
Being able to EDIT your skin. I don't want to pay for a bunch of skins that i don't even really like. Now if I could instead pay for my own custom skin for the same price as all those other skins. I would do it in a heartbeat. The skins are stupid, I'm sorry, they just are. Now, I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue. If you have the same thought right now, at all, PLZ vote this up for all to see.
How about ropes similar to those in total miner. You place a rope and it falls straight down until it hits a block then it can be climbed up and down. This would be great for when your cave exploring and theres a big drop off.
How about some kind of mineral crystals? Like quartz or something. Something shiny and reflective and prismatic. Imagine going into a circle room during a mining excursion and seeing a bunch of stalactites that start to glimmer at you when you put light down. And you could use them as crafting materials for some other feature, or you could craft 9 crystals into a mineral block that has a rainbowy prism sheen to it in the light depending on the angle you look at it from.

One of the many uses of water, but rope would be advantageous for not spilling everywhere at the bottom!

That could be awesome. I'm all for more colored blocks to build with that won't burn down! I also think that crystals are and excellent addition to the game. They'd help add to that fantasy feel that the game seems to be heading towards! They could also be useful if you crafted them into a necklace or rings so that you could have a few enchantment properties active in addition to your tool properties! You know, or just to add a bit of bling to your character!

I like the idea of enchanted jewelry. So the crystals would be a must.
Parachutes — especially useful for worlds with really tall mountains, ravines, or floating islands.
Fire flies and nets/jars to catch them in — These would make for some pretty cool lighting fixtures outside of torches, glowstone, etc. You could catch the fire flies at night with a net made of sticks and string or a jar made of iron and glass. Plus, they'd just be pretty to watch floating around at night.
- Dye + Bucket of Water = Bucket of Paint Bucket of Paint + Wood Planks = Painted Wood Planks. (Painted Leather Armor?)
- Slime Balls sticking blocks together, Sticky Pistons moving multiple blocks at once.
- Map Sharing.
- Slabs of different blocks stacking.
- Hanging Maps and Clocks on walls.
- Verticle Redstone.
I like the idea of different slabs stacking. It wouldn't be hard either. It could end up with some really good looking walls. Hanging maps and clocks wouldn't be a XBOX exclusive, it's coming to PC next update, with an item called an Item Frame. Any block you put in it functions like it would in your hotbar, compasses show direction, maps show topographical features, and clocks show the time. Vertical redstone is already possible, but it involves lots of redstone torches, and current inversion. It looks like this:

In this diagram, the [] are blocks, the I and \ are torches, and the _ is redstone. I use this often, since I usually put the bulk of my redstone contraptions underground, to hide them.

Sent from either my Sony Ericcson Xperia Play, or my XBOX 360 running Internet Explorer...I forget which.

Yeah, ikr, I REALLLLLLLY wanna make my own custom skin! And, personally, I think u deserve a vote up!
I would like to see a fully fledged out hardcore mode with lots of customization. In addition to permanent death
there could be options enabled/disabled such as:
- zombie apocalypse: zombies are faster, spawn 10 times more frequently, and don't burn up in the sun
- ores are more rare
- thirst bar
- height at which falls become lethal is much lower
- explosions from both tnt/creepers as well as lava = insta-death
- more possibilities
It would also be nice to have control of which mobs can spawn and their rate like in the Mo creatures mod.
The ultimate goal of this mode would be to see how many days you can survive, though regular gameplay could still be accomplished such as building, etc.

biggest difference would simply be no delay.
