yeah having glow sticks to throw down in dark areas to see whats there with out climbing down would be really useful also the torch should always give off light it would be more realistic and cool
While we're making the torches glow in your hand, why not make them glow as entities as well? That way, you could press (B) and drop a torch down a mineshaft like a glowstick. We could also use realistic lighting mod+photo realism texture packs.
Biomes 'O Plenty would certainly be useful if we could have bigger maps. 4J already let slip that they wanted to do a rent-a-server style mechanic. As long as the server isn't another bloody XBOX, it should be able to handle a larger world. At least 5x the size. That would also let you zoom out your maps.
My no.1 concern is something 4J said. They said they were talking to Mojang about what to do after the game was updated to 1.2.3. They said they would take a divergent path to the PC version. That, for me, means we won't get item frames or zoomable maps, screeching Endermen, bats, or witches. :[

Well being used for guns was its first purpose in real life unless crude explosives came first
I'm not saying every single person wants guns but I bet a good amount do not sure but there are probably plenty of pc mods with guns so why deny those who want them believe it or not not everyone has their own gaming comp so telling them to buy the pc version and get gun mods is a mute point (and yet again I point out if they add something to the game you don't like just don't use it it is that simple)
Back to the topic I suggest being able to put raw fish in buckets for storage like 10 per bucket with or without water
Fail. Gunpowder's first purpose was fireworks. Then TNT. Then guns. Frankly, I don't see how Steve could make Nitroglycerine without dry ice and bleach. I personally think Guns would make Mincraft slowly descend into stupid unrealism.
All bullcrap aside, this is me suporting Quivers, Steamboats, NPC Guards with editable text, mules with saddlebags, thatched roofs made from wheat, bales of wheat/hay, and filling water bottles for drinking later.
I was inspired into a few more ideas by going over this thread:
Abandoned Lighthouses.
Made of cobblestone, moss stone, and framed with stone brick/cracked stone brick/mossy stone brick, and capable of summoning a Kraken boss when lit. Present in Ocean biomes.
New Bows/Arrows
Crossbow,
Made with a bow, wood, and iron. Shoots arrows straighter, and does a little more damage.
Longbow,
Made from an existing bow plus two sticks. Alternative to the crossbow.
Ender Bow,
Made from two Blaze rods, two string, one slime and an eye of ender, only bow that can damage an enderman. Alt fire with RT that teleports you to where the arrow fell/stuck. Does as much damage as a longbow, cannot be enchanted. (made to be rare, slime can be made into a stronger drawstring than just string.)
Quiver,
Four leather, and one iron ingot. Shows on character and stores one stack of arrows, and shows how many remain.
End Quiver,
Links to Enderchests and fires any arrows found in them. Black and green, and made of of three obsidian, one leather, one iron ingot, and one eye of ender.
Arrows,
Redstone,
Redstone replaces flint, and does no damage, but acts like a redstone torch, activating mechanisms from a distance, great for switching rails, and opening piston doors beforehand, especially when running from mobs.
Sticky,
Slime replaces flint, and adheres the mob to the spot they stood when it hit. Melts after 30 ticks.
Iron,
Does 2x more damage than power IV, good for bosses.
All in all, these are sort of alternatives to one another. Either make different arrows, or cooler bows. I just think there are lot's of options for melee, but I'm a ranged fighter.
Different sized rugs,
One wool block could make a 3x2 rug since a cube has 6 sides, and it could even have different patterns like a painting. They could even be tileable. With the 3x4 rugs, you get more detail, and the 6x4 rugs are reserved for tapestries, and could have pictures like paintings, but on the ground. Maybe add string as an ingredient?
Thirst mechanic can be added when we have the 1.2.3 empty bottles, then we can fill them with water from a cauldron, and drink them. Otherwise, wouldn't a potion of healing do the trick?
What about a tripwire pulley? Put a bucket on a tripwire line, and attach it to a lever. then you can send stuff up and down mines, collect water, etc. But how much should a bucket hold?
Thanks for putting up with me, maybe my ideas aren't the best, but aren't they worth dreaming about? No? I hope Endermen tear your diamond house to shreds and hide the diamonds in the nether. JK.

If I had to make a request, it would be that the female skins have female damage noises. I can't help but laugh at how weird it sounds when my "Girl in black dress" (The Perfect Dark skin) sounds like a fat guy when she falls or gets hit.
Let's explore the idea of locking doors/chests. Would it be based around an item? Like a key, crafted from a gold ingot? What if a griefer threw it into lava? How would you open it? And if it was based on character data, how would you keep someone else from locking your chests with their data?
How about locked chests/doors can only be opened by the host of the world and the creator of the chest/door.

lol I can imagine. I play with a few women myself so i've heard this complaint a few times before too. I always joke that she's Dr Girlfriend from the Venture Brothers cartoon.
Here's a video of her speaking.
Tried to find one with more of her dialogue, but this was the best i could find that was appropriate for these forums.
Honestly, I can totally get behind female sounds for female skins. It just makes sense to me.
Fire Creeper: Same height and width as original creeper, but red. When it detonates, it explodes but also sets thing in a 4 block redius from the blast ablaze.
Mini-Creeper: 1 block tall x 0.5 block width. Only half the power of a regular creeper, but twice as fast.
Kamikaze Creeper: Basically a flying creeper that moves as slow as a Ghast until it sees you. Then it flies as fast as the Ender Dragon.
I'm just gonna say this: I didn't spend $60 (RAM + cost of game) so someone who pays $20 can get more features than me. Don't get me wrong, I'd like more features and things that you have mentioned, it's just that I don't want that to be xbox exclusive.
Off topic:
Where did you get RAM for 40 bucks? How much RAM?
And I love the idea of being able to use slime to put blocks together so pistons can move groups at a time. (Not quoted)

Ya my bad on the fireworks dunno how I forgot about them but as for guns making mineccraft stupidly unrealistic that boat sailed years ago and hit an iceberg with a bunch of creepers living on it

Dr. Girlfriend went through my mind many times too lol
Mojang adds things to Minecraft on PC that were recently mods, so
your point is invalid. Plus most mods are very buggy and have bad textures,
so if 4J did this, it would look great and actually be official.
Did they say we would be going up to 1.3.1 or just 1.2.3? If its just 1.2.3 I would like to get everything in 1.3.1 especially emeralds. I have been looking forward to mining new things and that would be cool.

I hope new ores becomes a part of the Xbox edition's unique features after 1.2.3
If not emeralds, I'd LOVE to see rubies. Ruby blocks sound marvelous.
They have Rubies, Emeralds, and sapphire that you can mine in Tekkit. It's
a certain mod, but I can't remember which one. Plus you can craft them into tools
and they're about the strength of diamonds.
It's hard to put things in that aren't already PCM mods as a lot of good ideas have already been used.
If they want good things implemented they would have to use inspiration from mods. That is also what the community wants.
I recommend zip lines as it could make travel more interesting.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
I've been playing minetest-c55 (a stable port of the original minecraft that is designed to work on older machines but still give you some of the features of the later release versions). I use it as a test bed for ideas and to pass the time when my family have the TV :-)
Anyway, one of the minetest mods adds redstone functionality (they call it mesecons). In this mod they have two different kinds of redstone wires: non-insulated (what we currently have) and insulated. Insulated wires are laid down facing a particular direction and will not join to adjacent wires except when the two end meet.
I'd like to see insulated redstone added to MCXBLA, (frankly, I'd like to see the entire redstone system replaced with the mese system, but that's not going to happen) Havin insulated wiring would make many contraptions much easier to build because you could lay wires next to each other without creating short circuits.

Personally I like both of your ideas, but can only imagine one of them being implemented rather than both. I do a lot of work with redstone and would love to be able to save space inside my machines by having wires running side by side without connecting and interfering with each other.

Exclusive to xbox? One word: Mods.
No thank you....I can just see it now, trying to log into my world and a message pops up: "World locked due to redundancy".

Someone over in the suggestion forums made a suggestion really close to this that I also liked Here's the link if you wanna read up on their ideas and drop them a line of support.
