This was after my initial wall sizing. The village was completely redone from the usual plains set up of oak wood and cobblestone to quartz/sandstone combo to go with the greek texture pack.
After a few restarts of this wall, trying different building techniques (you can see in the first picture I was trying wood and block of quartz) and different block combinations this is finally what I settled on.
Inside view of the wall. I think it's coming along nicely. :3
Temple I've built off to the side of the city outside of the walls. Complete with horse stall for the worshipper fresh in from the village.
Inside view of the temple, the little stairs on the sides are on a redstone circuit (controlled by lever on bottom left of picture) that drops them down into the floor. I had originally put glowstone on the sticky pistons but decided to replace them with seats.
I know this isn't some huge fancy build like some of the other posts, I'm still working on small stuff and making it into larger things like artfully pimped up villages. Any suggestions / comments are welcome!
Nice start. What are you going to build leading away from the walled town? I've been doing a real life house remodel so haven't been able to be on, but can't wait to try the Greek texture.

I haven't decided yet what I'll build outside of the walls yet, maybe wilderness / desert for a bit, then maybe start some more villages. This map has three NPC villages which I plan to beef up.
Oh be ready, don't know if you've gotten a chance just to see what they built as a pre-made world with the release of the Greek mash up pack, but in my opinion it's the best one they've released thus far. I actually got snotty with a friend, just because they got to buy the pack before I could. Haha, it's probably my favorite of the ones I do own. (Which isn't many, I think I own three.. including Greek. No wait, four, I forgot about steampunk.)

Love love love it. I was super into Greek mythology when I was in school and wanted to learn anything our teacher would tell us, so the second I saw the pack I was totally stoked. I would LOVE to have the Little Big Planet mash up as well, but that was Playstation only. :\

I'm tempted to buy a toga for the reveal. From your screen shots, already looks amazing.
