Here is a list of the most current photos for all the rooms within the tower and the tower its self. If you don't feel like searching this thread for the updated build pictures, the most recent ones will be in here.
Tower Exterior *NEW PICTURES*
Just added the sea wall and finished up two main floors:)
Front Tower Entrance

I wanted something grand and showy but I'm a stickler for having my whole room lit. This is the balance I found. The latter seen isn't a finalized project, its there for survival when I have to take a break from creating
Main Library
Each of the three floors is unique and contains different items. There is also a second story enchantment room, a library cat (ocelot), and some roaming bookworm villagers.
Master Bedroom
Nothing to special here, again this is mainly for my survival splurges but it does have its charm. Also features a balcony with roof access latters so you may truly stand on top of the world.
Kitchen/Dining Area/Animal Captivity
After I populated the library with villagers they became increasingly hungry, so hungry in fact they began eating the very books they were reading. I thought it only fair to use the empty space the library surrounds as a location for their own eatery/kitchen. Four large "L" shaped tables with seating for all. Two full service kitchens featuring loads of cabinet space. A lower level animal captivity center to ensure fresh meals and a glass aquarium style celling filled with annoyed little squids.
Areas Coming Soon!
-Agricultural/Farming Level *Now Under Construction*
-Housing Level
-Kitchen/Dinning Hall *Now Under Construction*
-Battle Arena Level
-Defense Systems Level & Defense System
-More when I think of it =)
I was pretty excited to see that the map height of XBMC had been doubled and immediately sat out to create my first structure that would test this limit. I love mega builds and this update has given me the room to breathe I needed. The base isn't complete yet and it truly is just a shell (no interior at all!). I just like putting my WIP up here before I get to deep so as to get some insight before I continue on with them.
Buckled down and busted out the base of the tower and also designed the room at the top of the tower (mine of course). I will probably add a second story to the first room but for now I'm happy with its design.

Here is a view from the top of the tower. Man, this thing is defiantly up there haha.
I played Minecraft today for the first time while on my medication for ADHD. All I can say is wow. Banging out this library was a piece of cake. There is three stories and the entire thing is contained within the first (larger) ring towards to lower end of the tower. There is even a full enchantment room on the 2nd story.
P.S. This tower is so huge that I'm actually running out of ideas for rooms to fill it up! Any thoughts?
. oh. my. plotz. lol. i see your using my favorite block combo iron and lapis. very nice. you should make a huge outer ring with walkways leading outward.
Surprisingly I've only used plotz once to create the original 51 diameter flat circle. The rest is free hand. Just a matter of increasing and decreasing the area of the circle/oval by hand in varying amounts at different locations. You can actually tell that it's free handed if you look at the roundness of the tower compared to the roundness of the lower ring and base (which both have a diameter of 51). When I decrease the area, without using plotz, the circle morphs to a rounded square. I'm not good enough to run the algorithm the plotz program does in my head (yet). However I have found myself accidently memorizing the number combinations for circles , convenient and saves me a trip to the net. Just a few hours ago I used plotz for the second time to create an outline for a circular sea wall around the tower. It was 151 blocks in diameter so I wasn't about to free hand it. To me it's more difficult to constantly reference plotz than it is to pull two or three circle sizes and just build off of them. For example the library, main fountain entrance, and bedroom were all just shapes and designs I came up with inside the empty shell off a tower on the fly. All in all though, it's a handy tool.
This a quick view of the 151 diameter sea wall I just put in. I laid the original circle down one block above water according to the (9,5,6,3x3,2x5,1,2,1,2,1,1,2.1x9) block scheme I pulled from plotz. From there I just built the wall vertically 3 or 4 blocks high and horizontally one block every 3 or 4 vertical blocks. It's obviously not a "perfect" circle because it wasn't made with plotz but it is still symmetrical and it does look circular. I'm currently filling in some grass but I'm not wild about how it looks so it will probably be gone. I'm debating on spacing out square or circular guard towers around the wall with a switch operated skeleton dispenser so anyone approaching the wall will be fired upon, but that's for another free day.
I love getting critique and I will most certainly add on any worth while input. Hope you enjoy.

*Update*
Finished the sea wall and laying the grass ring within.
I wanted a large entry room for the tower. The raised ceiling and rest of the room was crafted freehand. There are varying shrubs around the central split pond which has 8 water falls total. The latter seen in the first picture isn't a final build.

Do you mean for the ring to be around the main tower?
Is this the ring/walkway design you envisioned? Top Bottom Bird's Eye View
basically. but i was thinking more like an open top ring with a foot path. grass, structures built to coincide with the walkways. that kind of thing. but that looks pretty cool
Well sadly this copy of the room won't be in the final build, something went wrong with the save but thankfully the world wasn't corrupted. There was quite a few hours put into this room and I'm not about to replicate it again just yet. Not to much to explain here, I think that whole thing is symmetrical (it was pretty late when I finished lol).
I HIGHLY doubt that. It is turning out quite nicely now that I'm actually getting around to filling in the interior. I'd like to add some more towers eventually.
Very nice chandelier room. I really like the shadow shapes. And when altering a PLOTZ I find it helpful to remove/add the single block sections. Say you have a group of seven in the center of a 1/4 section removing the center stack makes shrinking easy...after reading my explanation, maybe you should stick to what you know. Nice tower though

I'll admit I had to read it about six times but I DID finally grasp what you were getting at. I do a combination of yours and my method. Honestly I rarely have an actual plan when making this designs. A lot of trial an error (build it, fly back, look at it, rebuild it). I know what I like and what I don't like. I want to work on the exterior of the tower for a bit. It just looks a little plain now that I'm beefing up the interior. Hopefully I'll have live soon so some of you can actually come visit!
Project Photos #7 | Front Tower Entrance, Ag. Room, Dining Hall
The front entrance was looking a little dull so I decided to spruce it up. I also began work on the farming/animal level as well as the dining area that will be in the middle of the three story library. These last two rooms are still majorly under construction so bear with me.
