Not really complex, but closer to where the OP should start. Not this specific video, as I'm only two minutes in and already being misinformed. That's not a NOR gate, it is two NOR gates, one input is powered by the output of the other, creating a latch. The opposing inputs are used for set and reset, respectively, forming a basic SR latch. I have to go to work shortly, so I'll watch the rest of this video in about 12 hours.
Taking notes is much different than copying answers from someone else. It actually requires effort and a bit of knowledge to solve a problem on your own.

I'm sorry, but when you were being taught how to do math, no one showed you examples like 1 + 1 = 2, 2 + 2 = 4, etc.
And if they did show you that, did you also instantly know advanced algebra, trigonometry, calculus, etc. Or did you also get shown how to do those with examples before being able to do them on your own and/or well?
I have to go with many other suggestions of Youtube with xbox or 360 as one of the search terms tends to work well and filter PC specific stuff.

when i first saw redstone, (bearing in mind ive never being on the pc version) i didnt have a clue, so i went on youtube and copied some tuts on the basics, i then played with them changing different aspects, i started to understand from that what i could/couldnt do, from there ive built some pretty amazing puzzles/games in my world
when i was working in construction and teaching ppl i got them to 'copy' what i was doing, they learn alot quicker than if i tried to 'tell' them what to do
ive said it before on here, there is nothing wrong with copying, its a good way to learn, trying to 'tell' them they could easily get it wrong
Of course you learn by example initially. You can't just do things that you don't have knowledge of yet. What happened after you were shown that example in school? Throughout the rest of your schooling, you were given more difficult problems in that same subject and challenged to solve them on your own. Redstone is not a job where an incorrect answer can lead to negative consequences. It is good to learn from your mistakes and improve your own "intuition" in terms of redstone, rather than following guidelines.
Perfect example: I was at my grandma's the other day, and her husband's friend was there. He showed me a picture of a miniature airplane he recently made out of matchsticks, paint, and a few household supplies. It was obvious how proud he was, though it may seem insignificant to others. Looking at it, you would never guess it was made out of something that most people consider garbage. To me, that is much cooler than reading an instruction booklet and building a model airplane you bought from the store. He imagined something he wanted, and created it from scratch, using knowledge and his own bare hands.
There's nothing wrong with copying tutorials, and I don't believe that is what I was implying. Some people don't share such a hobby, and that's completely fine. But if you want to learn about redstone, 99% of the tutorials won't help you very much at all. In fact, they mostly assist in making redstone appear overwhelming and much more complex than it really is. The thing that really throws me off about this thread is that most people building complex machines do so out of practice. It's usually a practice to challenge one's knowledge of computer science, but there are still some exceptions. Many redstone-based games, for example, or ridiculously elaborate doors, possibly traps. At the end of the day, they have no purpose in survivalist terms; just as the airplane serves no real purpose. It is merely a challenge. That's why I'm surprised to see someone specifically asking for complicated tutorials. Not sure why OP needs them or what they plan to do with the projects, but it is intriguing.
OP: We have all given you a solution to your problem. None of us are going to hunt for videos on YouTube all day just because you don't want to. You do realize how loony and nonsensical your request is, right? In the time you have been waiting for someone to post videos, you probably could have found enough tutorials to keep yourself busy for at least a week.
I learned most of my redstone knowledge from youtube. Yeah, a lot of it is some 12 year trying to teach you pointless stuff but there is some really good channels out there.
You shouldnt be insulting nose job. That dude has helped many of people with questions on this forum. I'm sure he was wanting to help you until you got super defensive.
And to be honest, I thought the same thing about you just being lazy when I read your first post. No one wants to waste that much time trying to find stuff for you. Complex Redstone takes a lot of time to explained because its "Complex".its going to be really hard to find someone that will take that much time to write it out or post a video of it when it took them hours or days to build it. 7
My advice, learn how to do all the different gates or latches. Learn all the stuff you can about reapeaters and all the cool stuff you can do with them. If you have a simple question, then you can post and I'm sure these guys would
love to help you but pretty much demanding people to give you links or whatever to make it easier on you isn't going to make many friends. Most of these guys had to learn it the hard way to. That's how you'll get good.
For future reference, your fueling the fire by answering when someone angers you. Period. If it's not the response you were looking for, just ignore it. You don't need to take it so seriously. I've been there, done that, and it will get you nowhere.
On another note, this thread is a good idea. Some people may just be looking for something to incorporate into minecraft themselves, or just in general, new knowledge. For example if Edison's lightbulb was never copied, we would never have the lighting options we have today. This thread is a good place for people to feed their knowledge craving and learn more about minecraft.

Please do not create Megathreads. The Creation section is for posting your, as in the topic owner, creations. There is a reason we've done away with megathread for the most part, the biggest reason is that you all, the forum users, do not like them.
Redstone threads can be placed in the MCX360 Creation Sections. We believe that users should control their topic, edit it (since Xbox Updates change somethings sometimes). You may post your videos! But, what is the point of building complex redstone machines if they're just duplicates of someone else's work?

Also agree. I learned most of what I know about redstone from him and thank him for my continued progression and interest!
