Hi everyone, I'm Nick and I am new to Minecraft. I just wanted to share what I have made so far. I've had the game for about 2 weeks now and I have to say, it's very addictive. If I didn't have a day job, I probably would play non stop.
So, here's a few pics of what I have been working on. This was all hand done, no dupes or mods of any kind on the Xbox version.
I'm open to any suggestions and ideas and welcome all criticism.
Tree house is damn nice.
The time put into the landscape is also nice. But more trees around the huge trees would be a good addition to the landscape.
These are your first buildings?
If they are you skipped the learning curve that took me months to get.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.

Thanks for the compilments. Yeah, these are my first houses. It took me a couple of hours to learn the basic idea of things, but once I got it, alliI did was have a vision and put it into the game. I didn't realize you could make lakes and waterfalls, but with several buckets of water, I found you could. Lol
I'm still in progress with the landscaping and I definitely plan to put some smaller trees and trails around the tree house. But first I have to harvest the rest of the tree farm I have in the middle of the second screenshot (the giant blob of trees hovering)
I will take a few screenshots in a couple of days to show more progress of a few changes I'm going to make. Also, I kind of don't know how to decorate the inside of the treehouse. I thought of a fireplace, but wood and fire don't mix, so I scratched that plan. Any suggestions?

Howdy brother, great work so far. That tree house is damn nice as well.
A hint on your tree farming, if you are doing it to actually farm then you can control the height of the trees that spread widely with a block placed above the sapling at a certain height.
Also you can get yourself some Netherrack from the nether for a fireplace, that stuff burns forever, you may have to change out the wood for some clay bricks.
But add me on live, KING donner and I can show you a bit of what I have done on my survival world. Definitely still a noob myself.
The first pic is what the land used to look like. I had to level about 8 blocks high throughout that area to make it flat. It took forever...

I feel your pain. I started a castle build and had to level a lot of ground by hand. Took a couple weekends but i finally got it done. No dupes or mods either, makes it all the sweeter.
Thats pretty awesome, I love the treehouse but next time, for the house try burning cobblestone to make clean stone, and use wood that is not planks (its better to use the wood that isnt white). ( )
Otherwise great builds, try to make a castle there are many tutorials online.
Thanks for all of the compliments everyone! I'm not home from work yet, but as soon as I am, I'm firing up he ovens and making some smoothstone! Lol...i do see what everyone is saying about the cobblestone. That was my first house and I was really just trying to get everything I can into that house. I experimented with wool throw rugs and bookcases and I also have a few rivers flowing through the inside of it and a brick fireplace. So, I guess I should've put a little more thought into the outside of the house.
