I know the update had a ton of new features, but like with every update there are things not listed in the changelog. If anyone finds an undocumented feature, please share it here.
For instance, I discovered that mobs will now spawn above the nether roof. So for all of you that want an easy gold farm there you go.
Sweet thanks I'm gunna for sure and a gold farm now. I also noticed for the tree sapling. Like for spruce wood sapling you can now bonemeal 4 saplings at once into a extra large tree
Multiple texture packs now have some animated textures, namely the light blocks, but some have other things animated. The list that I made is on the Twitter topic, I believe.
i love my texture packs, it seems some other items in it became animated, especially my cartoon texture pack :P, i hope somewhere in the future they plan to add a picture frame that moves and animate those pictures that would be so cool!

Definitely. One of the first things that I checked on.

You can also have unbreaking on armor.
