I'm waiting for them to come out and say that the Xbox One version was held back on purpose and is ready to be released now. Hopefully there will be a massive backlash and they'll give it to us early. Why should we have to wait until August just because the other versions are having issues?
Apart from that, the news we've been getting is incredible! Possibly 36x larger worlds, $15 discount for previous owners, most DLC will transfer for no extra cost, and old worlds will transfer over and be expanded!
In regards to the DLC that won't be transfered, mash-ups likely won't be (except for Halo because it's a first party franchise), but the most likely are the Marvel skin packs due to licensing issues.
Here is the link from mojang's site with the news - https://mojang.com/2...d-ps-vita-soon/
FINALLY! I just wanted some kind of ballpark date and at least we got a month. Another bit of info is most (but not all) of the DLC will be coming over too and no transfer from the X1 to the 360.
The cost for current Minecraft owners is only 4.99 but notice that only provides updates for one year. Does that means everyone will end up paying the full purchase price anyway a year later if they want to continue receiving the updates?

Are you refering to "You will be able to upgrade for a minimum of a year after the release date"?
I believe you're reading that wrong.
Updates will work the same but the promotion to purchase it for $5 will end in a year(after release).

It means that if you don't upgrade to Minecraft Xbox One Edition within a year of it's release, you will pay $20 for it. That $5 upgrade price will only last a year and after that it's back to $20.
There is no way in hell that they are going to admit holding back the xbox one version, that would be pretty crazy if they admitted it, as the public backlash would be very damaging to the company.
What i'm finding kinda funny over the past few updates is that we used to get these sony fanboys that was always belittling xbox and their 'certification' process and how it was slow and what not. But if you look back at the previous updates, at least the last 2 or 3, xbox has always been out of cert first, sometimes as much as week faster then sony. Oh the irony.
Isn't it obvious it was held back because the PS4 version had issues? Why make us wait just so they can be released at the same time? I knew that the exclusivity deal expiring would ruin everything.
I hope they announce the max player count soon. I have an idea for a faction-based pvp server that would be way more fun with more people and bigger worlds. Also horses when they're added. By the way, which skin pack has the American and German soldiers?
I have them but I don't have a 360 anymore to check. I came up with another idea but it would require a lot of building. Also skilled builders. The original idea needs almost no setup and can also use the Halo mash-up pack.
Does anyone know how big each of the preset world sizes are on next-gen? The first one is called "Classic" which will be 360 version size and the largest one is most likely the 36x larger size we heard about. A fully expanded map will cover a 2048x2048 area. Hopefully one of the presets will be that exact size. I'd rather only need one map.
On an unrelated yet important note, Book 3 of The Legend of Korra will premiere on Friday the 27th at 7 PM EST with almost no warning in case anyone was interested.

No, it isn't obvious at all. In fact it's obvious to me that it isn't ready for sale yet, otherwise it'd be on the marketplace.
Check it out!
