As by now... Most of us probably heard about the Skyrim Mash-Up Pack that's coming out!
But what if this is just de' beginning? What if there will be more mash-up packs? You know... Like for example, maybe a Portal Mash-up Pack? Cause you know, Portal Gun + Minecraft... Who doesn't want that combination? XD Joking...
But ye'h, you get my point... Right? What ya think?
mashup pack also has a world that has elements of the game they are from for the lmass effect mashup pack we had a mars base biome and structures for skyrim mashup pack the screens show that the biome and structures will be based around the riverwood whiterun and bleak falls barrow area of skyrim
A Mash-Up pack is basically a combination of a Texture Pack and a Skin Pack (and also other things like music and a new re-skinned user interface) that is based on another game. The purpose of it is to make Minecraft look and feel like a different game by changing these elements (textures, skins, music, etc.). Hope that makes sense.

the music part I think would be the most exciting about that
Does the Mash Up Pack have to be specific to other games? I know we had some skins in a few skin packs that were from shows and such so I am assuming it isn't game-specific...
In any case... I'm just gonna throw this in here just cause... I would love if they can have a proper Mash Up Pack of MLP. The two major things of making it proper being the graphics should be still similar but just 'cartoony' instead of pixelart and anything humanoid (Players, Villagers, Skeletons, Zombies, Zombie Pigmen, Endermen, and MAYBE Iron Golems) should have a pony model instead of a humanoid model. (Though the player pony model being only part of the skins that is part of de' Mash Up Pack, obviously).

A Mash-up simply uses content from 2 or more sources that creates something new which shares the traits of each source.
From Wikipedia: "The term implies easy, fast integration, frequently using open application programming interfaces (API) and data sources to produce enriched results that were not necessarily the original reason for producing the raw source data. The term mashup originally comes from pop music, where people seamlessly combine music from one song with the vocal track from another—thereby mashing them together to create something new."
So no, it doesn't have to be "specific to other games".
A MP is a Texture pack from a game or movie that gives youthe movie or games theme music, skin pack and texture pack for 3.99 or 6.99 dollars.
Technically, in MC, a Mash-up Pack is a bit more than just a TP, Theme Music, and Skins, there is also a world generation app that is included that generates a world that is part of that genre, and a re-textured user interface as well..

The enderdragon could be the archdemon, golems could be shale, dogs can be mabari, zombies can be darkspawn, etc.
Thank you! Someone agrees!
