Anyone think we'll be getting the Redstone Update anytime soon? While we're on it, how about the Pretty Scary Update? Do you think we will be seeing it in the near future(Jan, Feb, Mar) or some form of it?
4J does not follow the steps of the Java version of Minecraft. They make updates that have a lot of features from one update, and add a few more things from a later update. They don't have a 'redstone update' or 'pretty scary update'. They features just release in a TU. But, getting onto your topic, I'm pretty confident that they will add features from said updates into future TU's.
The Redstone Update was a major update released on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, as version 1.5. Among the main changes are a number of new redstone-related blocks, including the comparator, hopper, dropper, daylight sensor, trapped chest, weighted pressure plates and block of redstone. A new decorative block - block of quartz, crafted from nether quartz, was also added. Also included is a scoreboard system, a new texture pack format and a lighting engine optimization.
As much as I would love to see this in the next update, my gut tells me that they will be working on porting over mostly the PC Version 1.3 content in the next TU.

we're technically halfway through 1.3 arent we? TU 12 gave some 1.4 features.
ok nevermind. we're only 1.2.3. i know theyre working on 4 versions but seriously. they seem to be a bit behind. i dont wanna complain because i know i couldnt do their job but from my understanding its just changing code reading from javascript to...xboxese. i'm patient though. i'm just glad my grandchildren will get the horse update on their brand new xbox nine

I imagine that they are more likely working very hard on 1 version that will compile differently for 5 different consoles. The main reason for this is that it saves a lot of duplication of effort on the developer's side when trying to put out an update for all consoles simultaneously. It is much easier to make the change once, than have to make the same change 5 times. However, the process of getting (effectively) the same code to work for each console is very likely what is taking so long for 4J to release at this point. I expect that once they get this working (and approved), they will be picking up speed with updates across the board.
And yes, the MCX360 does have a few things from ver 1.3 and .14, but not most of the things from those versions yet.
