I just started playing this, I'm using the Windows 10 beta. Everything was going well in my world, suddenly, I started having weird creeper issues. Started when a mine covered in torches had a creeper suddenly appear and blow up. So I've got all my stuff surrounded by fences, and every couple of posts I have a torch. I have torches on walls so there are no dark spots. I have a creeper appearing in the same spot somehow, right next to my front door under a torch. It keeps respawning there, and sometimes blows up when I go outside without me seeing it. I'm basically spamming torches and fences all over my house and yard, and it has not made one bit of difference.
It's often the same couple of areas. One is a small wheat field next to the house, about 20 tiles, surrounded by a fence with torches, one stair, and a gate. And somehow, I often find a creeper waiting there. The sheep pasture where I started putting torches on the ground every few tiles. The first staircase in an overly lit mine.
I don't know if somehow I'm screwing up the lighting, if this is a bug of some kind, or what, but it's stopped being fun. Creepers were kind of rare at first, and weren't spawning in a well-lit, fenced off front yard. Now they are constant, and always blowing up my stuff and killing me. It's killing the fun of the game now.
So I tried switching to creative mode, and that wasn't fun either. Part of what I am enjoying in that world is gathering and having to work around the sunlight, and I'm okay with mobs spawning. Just not creepers. Because they are ruining the game.
I don't know if Win10 has the console commands, or if they work because I think you can turn off the explosions damaging terrain, which is really what I care about. I don't know if you can use mods in Win10 edition either. I just want to either lose creepers or not have them destroy everything by spawning in the wrong places. How do you do that in Win 10 edition, if it's possible, without going into creative mode?
Also, I was thinking about trying iron golems in the fenced areas, but apparently I read they cause creepers to explode and leave a lot of destruction. Is that true?

For all of your cobblestone needs, come visit Dark Roast Mine in Oakwood, right next to the tree farm, or the East entrance by Frost Beach. Just follow the main road past Hammond Hill. Watch out for creepers!
Thanks. It's been frustrating but I can be patient. Just sucks a bit that when I switched to creative mode, I think it disabled achievements.

The creepers are broken currently, they're working on them now and are going to release a patch around the 21st.
