I know that this is looks like a stupid question, but can I run Windows 10 Edition on Windows 7? I'm getting a laptop soon and I like the idea of being able to play PE on a computer, but I absolutely can't stand how Windows 10 spies on you 24/7 and how it uninstalls "incompatible" applications when it updates. If I decide to go with WIndows 7, is there is a way to get Windows 10 Edition to run?

* All OS's "spy" on you. With all the things that "spy" on your without your knowledge, an OS is the least of your problems.
* Of course it "uninstalls incompatible applications". If "old" software that doesn't work anymore is just taking up space on your HD, and better, newer, compatible software is installed in it's place, why is that a bad thing?
What I meant by spying was telemetry. Windows 10 is full of it unless you buy the Pro version, which is a lot more expensive than Home. I just don't want everything I do uploaded to Microsoft. Windows 10 was uninstalling things like CCleaner and Classic Shell, which are perfectly compatible with the system to my knowledge. I'm using Classic Shell right now, no issues whatsoever.
I've used CCleaner for years, and currently use it with Windows 10 (have ever since Windows 10 came out), and it's never been uninstalled.
You can go into Settings, Privacy, and turn off notifying MS.

Nope. Has to have Windows 10.
(I doubt you can get a new computer with Windows 7 on it nowadays).
Well, that sucks. Guess I'll just have to cope with it unless I go with 7.
