How do you enable splitscreen multiplayer in the Windows 10 version? I see the option but it won't move. I can connect my controllers and they all move the camera, but it is in single player mode. Is there some trick I missed?
The only reason I upgraded to Windows 10 was because the Minecraft Windows 10 page said that it was able to play split-screen local co-op (like the console versions of Minecraft). This appears to have been a lie. What an incredible disappointment Minecraft for the PC is. It cannot even match the console experience. If you search the requests for what people wanted for the Windows 10 you will find many people begging for split-screen. What a turd they gave us instead.

That's a terrible reason to upgrade. It's just a video game.
And I would recommend you post this in the "Support section", where people can help you. But are you doing this in-game? Or from the options menu on the title screen?

There's nothing on that page that mentions "split-screen". In fact, if you Ctrl-F and do a search, not even the word "split" is found.
You weren't lied to- you just did some misreading and assuming.
The only versions that has true split-screen are the console versions. All versions can multiplayer though. You can do multiplayer with MC Win10, but on separate devices- you can't hook 2 controllers to the same device and have it to work like the consoles do.
PS: You said the Win10 version of MC has "splitscreen multiplayer". All I was saying is the screen is small enough on a phone (or tablet)... and then to half the screen real state and try to play split screen on it? (You're post would've been fine if you had left out the word "splitscreen". That's what is causing the confusion.)

Split screen... on a phone?
I too would like to see a link to the page you read that on.
It was on https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/minecraft-windows-10-edition-beta/9nblggh2jhxj
I have no idea what you are talking about. I did not say I installed Windows 10 on a phone.
