Once again my weeks of hard work are gone, because of a flawed save system. I have a solution, but first:
1. This game won't allow me to save an EXTRA copy of my game world on my PS4.
2. The auto-save feature is broken, because it will save upon quitting anyways, plus if I turn it off, it turns itself back on the next time I play.
This is what happened. I loaded up my world, and within seconds the power went out in the middle of an auto save and corrupted the ONLY copy of my world. If the auto save stayed off when I turned it off the last game, this wouldn't have happened. I am Finished with Minecraft until MY save system get implemented. If it never does, I'll never come back.
The save system solution is this. Auto-save can be turned off permanently and does not save upon quiting. I can save multiple copies of my game world whenever I want in game. If I want to revert back to a previous save, I can do it in game. That's it. Other games have this save system, why not Minecraft, a game that needs a way of preserving what can be so easily lost?
EDIT: PS Plus Cloud doesn't have my save either, and with the above save system I would never need it. Everything saved data related in Minecraft should be available to me anywhere at any time in Minecraft.
I don't have much issue with the save system, and I usually make my own copy of a world if I need multiple saves. Autosave doesn't turn itself back on at all unless I choose for it to do so, which I don't...

I was making my own copies of saves for a long time, but it gets very tiring, especially when I have to leave the game all of a sudden often. This is why I made the suggestion of having the game itself allow spare saves with ease. Also, the autosave option does turn itself back on every time I reload the worlds on my PS4, so maybe its a glitch that only affects some.

They should have left the saving the way it was on PS3/Xbox 360.
You had full customization as to how often you wnated to save. Which for me, I'd like to have every half hour.
I definitely agree it is broken. I can't tell you how many times I've had to redo stuff because the stupid game didn't save properly.
You basically have to manually save whenever you feel the need to in order to prevent things.
Who knows if something as simple as a power outage in the middle of playing could do that same thing too. So they really do need to just revert to the way it was before.
