This post is mainly to help newer players to Minecraft who want to expand their building skills.
Creative Building Tips:
1. Don't be afraid to use a Regular generated map, the varying terrain will add more of a challenge than SuperFlat, plus will look a hell of ALOT cooler!
2. The next time you build a structure (like house, castle, temple, etc.) Limit yourself to ONLY using Step Blocks and Half-Slabs, NO full size blocks!
3. Don't be afraid to leave spaces between blocks, they do NOT have to touch to make a structure.
4. Glowstone behind Step-Blocks will make the steps GLOW!
5. I recommend ONLY giving building privileges to people you KNOW, and TRUST! Be warned there are ALOT of "Griefers" on Minecraft!
6. Get a Microphone, Headset, whatever....it is MUCH easier to communicate, wether it be about a creative build or even survival strategy!
7. Be Nice to others, this is just a general tip that we should ALWAYS remember.
8. Get yourself a USB Flash Drive, Back up your maps to the USB drive so in case someone does come and mess something up(Griefer or not), you have a safe back up!
I will most likely keep trying to come up with other tips, I will add them as I think of them....feel free to post your suggestions or feedback as well, thank you and have a great day!
IF you are an ADULT, AND have a MIC, add me on PS3 ONLY....name in siggy!
Be carefull when using sand(not sandstone) in construction

By day I am a humble chocobo rancher and racer known as ChocobocoWinner but by night my true persona shows......I fight for the right of chocobos......For I am the Choco Knight
because sand doesn't have the same physics as the other blocks, it will fall til it hits another block below it, same principles for Anvils, and Gravel....however, Sand can be VERY useful for filling in a watery area to remove the water, drop sand from the top and then when its full, dig to bottom and put a torch under each stack of sand to quickly remove the sand and enjoy the waterless hole you have now.
Also when building your farm....be aware of some somewhat important details (I will provide diagrams to illustrate what I mean)
W = Water
C = Crop

There are many other, some very creative and multi-layered ways to set up your farms to optimize space and yield a lot of food. I would suggest Youtube as a really good source of Minecraft Ideas and Tutorials.
