And please, please release the texture packs all at once, I don't want to be stuck with plastic pack (default pack with less pixels) for 2+weeks while we wait for natural texture pack.
I recall hearing that 4J is testing one of the existing texture packs on the PS3 version of Minecraft ATM. I would say that when that's finished, and they're cleared through Sony, 4J will release the Natural, Fantasy, and Plastic Texture Packs. Not sure if they'll release all of them at the same time, but I don't see why they can't. It'll probably be a while longer before we get the Mass Effect and Skyrim Mash-up packs, which contain both a texture pack AND a Skin pack, custom sounds, and a custom world save.
The Skin packs may be further out because they contain a mixture of generic, cross platform, and Xbox360 exclusive skins. 4J would have to go through them and remove the xbox360 exclusive skins and replace those with PS3 exclusive skins.
I'd say they will probably release the plastic texture pack and natural texture at the same time. But I heard somewhere it might not be any of the xbox 360 texture packs, It might be a PS3 exclusive texture pack.
But we don't know for sure yet, until it's released... It would be so awesome if they got shaders on PS3
^That is true. I could go for a Capture Trooper outfit. My main concern is that there is no CUSTOM SKINS. We have a "Favorite Skins" tab with no way to favorite.I can see that after 10-20 skin packs get released, they will sell the option to upload a skin from your photos, for use to your account name only, for like $5 each. In retrospect, that's not a bad deal."Oh you want a custom skin? $5. You can also buy the special offer for uploading up to 10 custom skins for $25."
YEAH! Why is this taking so long? (Sticky's voice from FO3) I have money on my PSN account waiting for the texture packs
Wishing: Nature pack, Dokucraft, Fallout texture pack.
For PS3, I would love to expend my money on a God of War texture pack, Uncharted or LBP.
Anticipating the Sack Boy skin. That will look good on Minecraft. I don't like most of the more realistic skins though, they seem so out of place on a simple polygon like Steve.
I do think texture packs for Assassin's Creed would be very appealing. The architecture in those games is just amazing, and would look very nice on many historical structures people build in Minecraft.
