Do you think that MCEdit will be updated soon? Because I can't add anything to the inventory and most of the other stuff. But the contest sounds awesome.

loopholes (in 2 minutes, do any mobs somehow escape/survive?
layout/creativity
automatedism. I've already downloaded the worlds, results tongiht
EDIT: next contest is ADVENDTURE MAPS. use any redstone technuques and what not. you'll have until this page reaches 1000 comments. yes, It's a long time, but it will be fun, and I will do a quick LP of each when i do the grading. NO MCedits (you can edit inventory, but no world edit, please!) although superflat maps are allowed. I'll also be continuing to hold smaller contests like the grinders XD
This is going to be a big contest. I'm really excited. Although, I will need the editor to be updated before I can start.
lol, this is great! we're all back!
anyways, here's the results, and boy are they a surprise
FIRST PLACE: xela203's grinder
Loot Per Second - about 2-3 items per second ( with all grinders on!) - 10/10
Loopholes - 1 total: Pigs ocassionally survive fall, minor problem... - 8/10
Layout/creativity - overall well designed, could've been more pleasing to the eye... 9/10
Automatedness - Z-pig farm requires proximity. and water is slow (place ice under it next time, but overall pretty automatic - 9/10
total: 36/40, 100 %
SECOND PLACE: chimera Loot per second - 1 every 2-3 - 7/10
Loopholes - 0 - 10/10
Layout/creativity - very very nice "design" (looks nice), grinder spawns nicely, though the kill machine is a bit slow - 8/10
Automatedness - that cacti /trapdoor thingy annoyed me, but other then that, it's fine - 9/10
34/40 - 85%
THIRD PLACE: mackthehobbit
Loot Per Second - about 1 item per second - 9/10
Loopholes - 0 - 10/10
Layout/creativity - nice layout, again, coulda been a bit more pleasing to eye - 8/10
Automatedness - requires you to walk around a bit - 6/10
total - 33/40 - 82.5%
FOURTH PLACE: Groudon383
Loot Per second - 1 for every 4 - 6/10
Loopholes - 0 - 10/10
Layout/Creativity - AWESOME look, although spawner could've been literally cleaner at the corners :P, kill machine a bit on the slow side - 8/10
Automatedness - the 4-wide retrieval area is a bit too large, and the flow that keeps pushing be back when i try to sit in the collection pool annoys me a bit - 7/10
31/40 - 77.5%
good job everyone! Xela has won the Farmer title... If it don't sound badass enough, I'll change it.

Dude, drowning traps are not slow, they kill at the same rate that mobs come in (literally couldn't be faster). The few seconds delay only matters at the instant you start up the grinder. Once it is running there is literally no difference.
I love how I put so much designing into the fact that the items come to you and you don't need to risk getting shot or a zombie falling on you and the effort was completely ignored ( ._.)
I didn't really care about design, as long as it had efficiency and, like chimera said, the items come to you or a central area without danger. And RUS, as long as I have a title I'm good with that.
So a few hours of my work went down the drain, was not even included in the competition. Twice have put a link. We need a different system applications because this bit fails.

Look, I can't keep track of everything. I'm seriously beginning to think about appointing chimera as chief in charge of contests. Listening to all of you guys (almost) pretty much said that my decision sucked, it's clear you guys don't want me to grade this. so why not ahve chimeratech, the HQ's little golden boy do it?
ALSO: Pbog, I'll take your submission and also grade it. I have no problem accepting it, I know you were working on it before, but forgot. sorry
I had a thought. This topic has the potential to become a pinned topic once actual Redstone is added into Pocket Edition.
Because we would have been the go to topic on Redstone since it was Pseudo-Redstone.
That is of once it is added we actually associate with real Redstone as well.
I am officially dropping out of the Adventure map contest for a few reasons:
1) This map is going to be huge so it may take me awhile
2) This would take forever to grade
3) I believe it deserves its own thread (if I finish)
4) There is no way I am forgoing MCEdit due to the scale

Those are some fair points, I agree that mcedit should be alowed. It is just another technique. For 3 though, you can still give it it's own thread, and post a link here. That's what I'm going to do.
the feels ;n; read the op. it helps a lot xD

I wish we could create new topics for submissions (testing) and contests... without getting locked.
