Some of you may consider this cheating in a way, using a glitch with gravel to see through underground
walls and see all the cave systems and stuff. I'm guessing this trick also works with... Wait.. What Are those..
OMG :biggrin.gif: Slimeeeesssssss. These is my first ever encounter
If you hit them with a sword or arrow they just die easily but hittiing them with something normal will split them
into smaller ones which won't hurt you plus drop slimeballs
Here are a bunch, I wish they had a use. I actually commented my ideas on another thread but I want
to quickly go over them here. First idea which isn't actually mine is an underwater mask deal which allows you to breath underwater twice as long and takes up the head slot. craftable in the shape of a normal head armor. Also with a durability but it still lasts a good amount of time. Next which is my own idea is when you craft the other types of slime armor and you wear it all you will not be able to be set on fire, take no fire damage, and lava deals much less damage. I really like the idea of having something like that. Than also slimes would have to be immune to fire as well and I think that makes sense anyway, so that's what I think slimeballs should do
Okay, as you may guess I'm making a mob spawner which is near my skeleton trap. I have three 8 by 7 pads and three 8 by 17 pads, haha definitely not well planned but hey it works
Thanks to Etho (Ethoslab on youtube) I now know how to use signs and water effectively to transport mobs (before I had to use multileveled areas where each 8 blocks the flow would have to drop down a block). This was the most complicated part of the whole thing, a four way intersection sending all three directions down to the mob grinder. It does have water up next to the ledge but normally I've observed the mobs and they don't usually escape that way
Here's the lava blade, nothing special/new
Man look at all the skeletons, I think it's working
Here the collection area is the same pressure plate the skelly spawner ends at
Haha, I love that I can watch mobs die through the wall, now that I think of it I should add glass here so I can see all the mobs die
As you can see I left minecraft running awhile.. looks like mostly drops from the dungeon spawner but that's because I now know When I'm standing on the pressure plate I'm too close and the mobs don't spawn much, So what I have to do is come down from the surface every once in a while
Yes thirty tnt :smile.gif: can't wait to use it
Here's another, smaller project. This causes the door to stay open much longer
when the button is pressed... Well don't just stand there let me show you how it works!
The wire under the button...
(on the left) goes to an rs latch I believe, which just means when power is applied to
the dark side of the latch it will turn on and the other side will than be dark. This is what causes
the the door to stay open, (there's a torch under the door to control it). But we don't want
the door to Stay open forever, so as you see the redstone also branches off in another direction downward
Down here there are a bunch of repeaters to slow the signal down, which is cool because I can adjust the timing
whenever I want
So than the signal comes up to the torch on that wall. When the door is open, that redstone wire in front of it is unlit, causing the torch under the door to be on. So when that delayed signal hits that wire, it reverses the latch back to normal, and also closes the door.
Here is inside, I fixed the button placement so there are no unslightly holes inside or out, just press the button and
the door will stay open for a couple seconds. The fact the button is right next to the door doesn't affect anything
because the signal underground is still providing power when the button pops back out. I've got to thank Ethos again for this design. I might as well provide a link to his channel, bottom of update.
So many... bones.... I can't believe this is possible without modding
yahh, this is my chest up in the second floor, XD
I like how I can tell where each drop came from, specifically so I know if mobs had spawned inside the
spawning grounds or not
Built a small viewing area to watch the darkness XP
Here is Ethos's channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/EthosLab He does a lot of technical stuff as opposed to architecture. That includes highspeed boat roads, boat dispensers, mob sorting machines, and red stone in general. really cool stuff
