Yeah, I just keep searching and searching for things to try.
I play Skyrim, Portal 2, Modern Warfare 3, and more yet I can't play Minecraft on this darn thing.
You could try this:
Open NVIDIA Control Panel
Go to Manage 3D Settings
Add both Java.exe and Javaw.exe to the list and make them use High Performance Nvidia Card.
(I always add both Java.exe and Javaw.exe just incase it didn't work)
Nvidia Control Panel might also auto detect Minecraft which makes you not needing to add Java.exe and Javaw.exe
(Ignore this solution if you have already tried this method)
Save As, change file type to all, and name it MC.bat
Put the bat file in the same place as the minecraft.exe and run it.
If this doesn't work even with a profile, you can bet your ass the problem is linked to some kind of driver auto update.
I was going to try this one first, but then I saw the comment beneath, and it works. I am getting ~90 FPS now. I just needed to add all the java.exe versions for some reason..
