So I was talking in my previous thread about two problems I had with setting up a server. Well I have now come up with a couple of new problems, and more may be on the way.
1 Warp: I was told that Essentials was good for chat-bar warping. After reading up a bit on Essentials, I realized it was exactly what I was looking for.
Money: I was told that Iconomy was good for this. During the same session of reading up on Essentials, I figured out that, though not exactly what I was looking for, it is good enough for both the /warp and /tpa commands, and the money commands (though not /money and its subcommands).
2 Warp: I have seen warps, built like nether portals but with water, that teleport to cities and such. I found these on a lot of servers but have absolutely no clue how to get them working.
Creating maps on SP/transfering to MP: I built a chunk of a city on my server's intended map, then put it in the server folder. I tested the map by connecting to localhost, but if it even loaded the right map, it spawned miles away from where I built the chunk of city. I am confused as to why the game is doing this.
Administrative priviliges: Would be self-explanatory if I wanted it to be. Now obviously I have administrative priviliges when I'm running the server. But obviously, lots of server owners do stuff like ban griefers and such while playing, and I have no clue how to do this. Also, non-owner moderators also do this stuff, but they do it solely in-game. I think McBans works for this, but I don't know if this is a mod or is built into Minecraft.
Build rights: Many, many, many servers require you to register at their website and submit an application to mine and build on their server. I do not know how to do this, which is a major problem because without this feature, griefers could easily reign supreme. Also, there are some servers where, in some areas, only staff can build. Again, I need to know how to do this too.
