So why is the sound system crashing Minecraft ? This is totally vanilla, no mods at all, not even a texture pack (yet), freshly downloaded. I restart, try to up sound, same crash. Tried a few times with no luck. This is Windows 7 64 bit, Java 7, and my sound system is the USB head set which is set default with in Windows.
Well, after trying a few different things to get my sound working, I finally decided to copy the OpenAL32.dll file from the OpenAL library's windows native directory and overwrite the one within the Minecraft native folder.
Amazingly, it worked.
Windows 7, 32-bit, going to install latest Java update now and see if it still works fine.
I suppose it should, but...
Heh, might as well check.
